man. sam nook telling tommy to go destroy the egg and that he’s a hero is kind of the saddest fuckin thing. sam nook has been an escape from all of the doomsday deadly traumatizing plot shit and then hes the one to drag tommy kicking and screaming back into lore? and the way it’s just presented as, like, of course you’re going to destroy the egg, tommy! you’re the hero! is so... sad. because he shouldnt have to be a hero anymore. he’s just a kid
despite the new culture of consent (eg going over creators’ boundaries regularly) the entire dsmp fandom is still very weird about the cc’s personal relationships. im talking about people being like Defend bad! and getting mad at other ccs when they curse around him or like getting pissed at ccs for making jokes about their friends to... the friends. im reminded of one of techno’s earlier videos where when bad was kicked from mcc and skeppy dropped in support, people were getting mad at him for not dropping too when he had talked to bad and skeppy and they were ok with him staying in like... ccs can talk to each other! they’re adults! they can handle themselves! they dont need an army of teenagers defending them
sam nook asking tommy to be the hero again is tragic, but it seems unavoidable. awesamdude is succumbing to the egg. nook mentioned that sam hadn’t been around while he was giving tommy a tour of the hotels progress. he asked tommy to break the egg because he’s worried for sam, and he knows the egg’s causing it. its another iteration of dressing up serious motivations with a candy coat of non-serious adventure - the way he talks makes it sound like the only reason he wants tommy to destroy the egg is that it’ll be bad for business, not because it’s hurting sam. sam nook has been added to the roster of flawed adults asking tommy for help, but in this case he’s nook’s only real option to get sam back. theyre stuck between a rock and a hard place.
late night ranboo lore! hes basically confirmed that the confrontation stream in the prison was completely a dream. the reason he knows about the inner workings of the prison is because he’d been there before in his ender walking state. sam confirmed that he visited soon after dream was imprisoned and said he brought a surprise fourth memory book in, which detailed what enderwalk ranboo had been doing with dream. he can’t find it, so thats the most present conflict rn!
i see ppl getting uncomfortable with the jokes that like vurb and velvet make about skephalo and like. i get it but you do know these guys are all friends right? i cant speak to their relationships but from some of the other tweets vurb has made to bad it seems like if bad or skeppy was uncomfortable with it they could and would just. talk to them and ask them to stop. you dont need to start knighting for the minecraft youtubers they can handle themselves

ranboos confrontation stream today was really one of the tightest ive ever seen production-wise ngl. the segment at the end with the nausea and falling blocks was literally just fantastic and the little touches like hidden chat and the death score really pushed it over the edge
rn i’m thinking about how one of mizu’s books mentioned skeppy and bad seeming like one person in the history books and, like, that could be just a joke! but it also could be foreshadowing what’s going to happen with bad and the egg, you know? skeppy and bad seemed like the same person because, eventually, they were the same person
