Hey guys! So truth is I don’t go out much these days, but when I know I’ve got plans coming up and I actually have to talk face to face with other human beings I try to take extra good care of my skin beforehand, so tonight I decided to treat myself with a little somethin’ special (and yes I used my hair dye bowl to mix it, it was hard enough to get myself to take the time to do a mask and I was not about to go all the way downstairs for a bowl... don’t worry it was clean!). Now this is a clay mask I picked up on a whim a long time ago cause it was cheap and it looked like it would help my skin - and it really does. I can truly tell a difference in my skin when I use this regularly and don’t slack off. After a few times using this I can honestly say my skin tone has evened out and my acne has calmed down and reduced. If you’re interested you can find it here. But don’t go crazy and use it everyday, it should only be used a few times a week! Until next time, good night, good morning, or whatever it is for you ♡.
Arnica Soothing Massage Oil brings immediate comfort and relaxation to your massage. Set in a base of antioxidant-rich olive oil, this nourishing massage oil contains potent arnica, plus a soothing collection of essential oils.
It's perfect after a busy day or a strenuous workout, and can also be used as a daily skin softener.
Perfect way to cap off a really long day today: DETOX!
A facial detox is a regimen wherein it eliminates excess oil and skin toxins. Most especially our day to day stress + pollution encounter accumulates so much on our skin, hindi nakakaganda ang stress and oil mga bes! Swear.
For those not familiar of its benefits... I’m just really maarte and it wasn’t till recently that I learned the actual benefits as well haha so we’re even if you don’t!
Halts the overproduction of sebum.
Deep cleans pores.
Evens out your skin tone.
Tightens and firms your skin.
Detoxifies.
This is a once a week procedure and I advise not to overdo it. For this DIY-at-home skin pampering I only used 2 products: NOW Solutions European Clay Powder and Jojoba Oil available at SUPP+ (www.supp-plus.com).
European Clay Powder is good for normal, combination and oily skin. For those who have a really sensitive skin the right mud for you is the Moroccan Clay Powder. Oils are optional, for dry skin type, add a few drops of Jojoba Oil and/or Lavender Essential Oil.
Also, make sure to do a skin test first before using any products in general. Just put a small amount on your arm/hand and wait for any reactions. We don’t want you burning up in the middle of a regimen and blame it on me, ha! Uso ung testing muna kaya.
So, it comes in a 170g canister and it will definitely last you for a good number of months. Even if the direction advise to use 1 tablespoon, half of a teaspon does wonders belive me. Ang tipid!
This is how half a teaspon looks like. If you have a smurf-size-small of a face like me, this is more than enough.
All you need is the mud powder, oil (if your skin is dry), and water. And yeah, a mixing spoon or metal mixer, whichever is it that you prefer - not unless you want to use your fingers too, it’s all up to you. Really.
Mix the mud with cold water first until you get that batter and add few drops of Jojoba Oil and/or Lavender Essential, mix, then start applying generously on your face with a brush.
La la la. Waiting game now begins, which is btw my weakness. Patience isn’t really my forte and so is waiting. You have to let it dry for about 30 minutes or so - even if your bottle instructions says 15-20 it doesn’t fully dry up that fast! It’s either it really takes time to dry up fully or I just really have a knack for not following instructions. Haha!
So, what I love about mud masks is it stretches your skin big time as it dries up - it tightens, like reaaallyy tightens, your skin. Be patient though, says the girl who was just ranting out about being impatient. If you have a spotty complexion, it will draw out impurities. And at the beginning, for some, they will break out, it’s normal don’t panic. Lucky for me, I suppose, I didn’t.
Once it’s all dried up, wash up! Sorry naman sa tight shot mga bes, I’m still learning to selfie using an actual camera and not my phone. HAHA! But seriously, all jokes aside, can you see how somewhat poreless and clear my skin is?
So after that, dry up, tone, put on your moisturizer and get ready for bed. Also as a reminder, if you’re using an alcohol-base toner, I suggest you skip it for the mean time and let your skin breathe as it may irritate your skin. If it’s water-base, it’s fine.
As for my moisture lock, I use Argan Oil as my base, because one will never enough and extra is my middle name, and Bellaplex for my anti-aging cream. Again, both of them are available at SUPP+ of course.
For my morning-skin: ta da! Well, I’m sleep faking as you all know it but main focus here is my skin, ano ba. Haha! Don’t you just love waking up oohh so fresh! #freshpasalettuce
Anyway, yeah, this is one of my gazillion rituals to think I’m the really lazy type sa lagay na ‘to ha?
