Unexpected mailbox surprise, vinyl happy dance initiated!  I’m only on my second spin and I’m already hearing some FZ, Skynyrd, Queen, King Gizzard and a whole lot of other tasty hooks from the past.  It’s catchy, garage, deep and funky.  The kind of listen that’ll reveal more with subsequent listens, unravelling new elements while tying you to the types of sounds you already love from the past.  I’m looking forward to digging deeper.  Vinyl-wise, TMR are some of the best in the business.  Buy with confidence, it’s a solidly pressed platter that sounds like vinyl is supposed to sound.  Jack White understands mastering for vinyl.

I love all Dio related projects.  This album tho... With all respect due to the rest of the catalog, “Stargazer” might be peak Rainbow, Blackmore’s other “Child In Time”.  It remains my all time favorite Dio recording.
