I have a casual 'request'. It would be really cool if someone wrote some fanfic with a male protagonist, I never see any. Probably because most writers/readers are female but it'd be nice.

You mean like slash? Well, we do have some stories that features M/M, but not many. One is Soul Love, and the other is Late Night Strolls and Burnt Out Cigarettes.

Thank you for being one of the few people with sense in the TP fandom. I don't follow many TP people precisely for how annoying they are about 'problematic' things in the show and their shit headcanons

All people and all things are ‘problematic’.  Back in my day we called them flaws, and every character that is interesting, human like and captivating has them.  This new trend of having every flaw from addictions (which are serious) to having a bit of temper (not that serious) is now a days weighed against characters like some judicial scale, and people try to use them to out weigh every good thing about them, in some juvenile attempt to guilt people about liking them or justifying their own dislike.

I just don’t understand, why can’t people just like or dislike civilly?

Besides, delving into the dark side of things, blurring the lines between right and wrong, shades of grey are where David Lynch revels!  From Blue Velvet to Twin Peaks, it’s this balance between wholesome Americana and dark dealings in the shadows that’s sort of his trademark, with a dash of supernatural.  If you can’t handle that I wonder at people watching it in the first place?

As for headcanons, I enjoy them and I’m sure all of us do.  it’s what used to make fandoms fun.  But suddenly people are treating their ideas as if they are canon, and that’s just annoying.
