The lost audio log…

The door hit the wall harshly as the floorboard squeaked from the weight of two heavy footsteps, and the sound of the chair being moved. While another pair of footsteps walks around with anger on their footsteps.

Sonic:(yelling) Shadow, what were you thinking back there! You could’ve gotten hurt! 

Shadow: Yelling won’t solve anything, Sonic. As I told you earlier, I was fine ‘til you stepped in.

Sonic: (yelling) Fine? (he scoffed) Fine?! You were at death's door!  

Shadow: (yelling) I was fine, Sonic! I had everything under control! 

Sonic: Under control? (yelling) Bullshit! You didn't have it under control! You almost died today! I would have lost the both of you! 

Shadow: I told you never to bring that up

Sonic: Bring what up? That I would lose both of you?

Shadow: (yelling) That! 

Sonic: (shaky tone) That you’re pregnant with my child? 

Shadow: Yes 

Sonic: We've been married for two years, Shadow! Why are you acting like we're having this pup out of wedlock?

Shadow: Because I don't want this thing.

Sonic: Then why did you stay quiet about it for five months?

A chair scrapes as a heavy pair of footsteps walks over to Sonic 

Shadow: Because I thought it wouldn't survive, but I guess I was wrong 

Sonic: So instead of coming to me to talk it out, you decided to put yourself in danger. Hoping this would go away

Shadow: Yeah, something like that 

Sonic is heard letting out a dry scoff of disbelief 

Sonic: That fucked up shadow. Even for you (sigh), I’m still mad at you for not telling me sooner about this, yet I'm not surprised. 

Shadow: I'm surprised you expected highly of me 

Sonic: Yeah, well, what do you expect from me? (sigh) (worried tone) Shadow… Last time I checked, you told me you couldn't get pregnant 

Shadow: Yeah, I thought so too 

Sonic sighs while walking over to Shadow. The soft sound of ruffled fabric is heard as Sonic hugs Shadow 

Sonic: We can get through this 'til your due date. Once it arrives, then we can decide later about the pup. But promise me that you will be more open from now on. Please 

Shadow: I’ll-... I’ll try.

The hunting memory...

It was 50 years ago.. Out of all my years of reaping souls and sending them to the afterlife. The one time I take over death's main duty to give that poor man a much-needed break. I was sent here.

I saw how the goddess of life and the god of death talk fondly of this human. This one girl. So I went to see what all the talk was about. This girl was the sweetest human I have ever seen. I always visited her among the stars. I saw her play with a small hedgehog, always hugging him.

She brightened up my day even when it was tough. That was until. I got the list of souls to send to the afterlife. Many scientists from the ark.

Walking the empty ark as I send one by one home. Intell, I went to the main bridge. Out of everyone to die that day, it had to be this sweet girl.

Never in my life have I cried so hard. I never used my true form to reap someone's soul, but I was so overwhelmed by emotions that I decided that the mist of my true form could hide these tears as I sent Maria over to the afterlife. It was the longest 9 minutes in my life. Taking her hand. Telling her she did a good job of saving her brother. Telling Maria that her grandpa is waiting for her. 

I walk with her. I grab her cold hands. Guided her to the afterlife slowly. I let her see the stars one last time. I let her see Earth one last time. She thanked me for letting her see the world one last time. 

Maria walks over the light as I turn around, as I let the mist of my form leave as my quills puff up and cry with the stars. I have never walked a soul to their afterlife so slowly. I guided Maria to the light. Like a slow dance meant to never end. 

I told no one who soul I reap that day. I knew everyone would be devastated by her death. So I keep quiet. It's been 50 years, and that day haunts me in my sleep.

Week one: day 2 memories!

Who knew and who didn't

We all know that Rouge and, by extension, her wife were angry over the whole mess that Sonic and Shadow created 10 years ago, but what about everyone else who knew them?

Amy Rose was furious over the whole mess, as they now call it. The fact that they never came back to take Spryo and only came back to pretend to be his uncle rather than his father. Made Amy lose all respect for Sonic in that moment in her life. Sure, later on she will respect him again, but right now she was so angry that even answering his call and text was like a burn on itself.

Knuckles didn't find out about the situation ‘til spyro was 7 years old. Now, Knuckles saw Spyro when he was just an infant, so he thought either Sonic or Shadow was around, but oh boy, when he asked Spyro where his dad was. Poor boy answered that he was with Mama Rouge. That made knuckles so confused that Rouge herself had to explain the whole timeline, and frankly, he too was piss. Sure, he doesn't blame the other for not telling him sooner. Knuckle is very unreachable, so it would have been impossible to inform him right away. He did ask where the fuck Shadow and Sonic were. Which rogue admitted that she didn't know where they were. 

Vanilla was a bit disappointed with Sonic's actions a lot more. She practically raise him way before having cream. She did have a heart-to-heart conversation with Sonic once he come back, but at the moment she felt heartbroken about everything that happened. She felt, in a way, responsible for how he turned out. Which was not her fault.

Tails, on the other had is still kept in the dark over the events even to this day. He knows about Spyro, but he never once met him when Sonic and Shadow were still together. Tails was off on his own adventure at that time. Hell, cream, and charmy were with him when all the events happened. So once he was back, he had no idea that the kid he saw from Rouge and Starlight was his little nephew, but like I said, he was away for so long that he heard nothing from it. Amy made sure to keep tails in the dark. Not wanting him to feel betrayed, hurt, and question Sonic's character. Luckily, when he came back, Sonic was around.

Silver and Blaze weren't around when that happened. One was in the sol dimension, while the other was in the future. They do visit, but that's when everything looks somewhat “normal,” so there were no questions to ask.

Vector figured it out fairly quickly, but made sure to keep it to himself since he didn't know what really happened in private. He didn't tell Espio since that Sonic and the other job for that, but he worried about Sonic's new personality and the role of uncle in Spyro's life. Hell, Shadow seems to act as if he knows no one.

The past

Before the great incident that took the lives of nostalgia friends and family in year 3. Shadow the Hedgehog was allowed to roam GameStop freely. He had no rule or was forced to live in Sonic Adventure 2 game for his safety. He was a scary shadow. He and Nostalgia work so well that Rouge became jealous about it. Who can blame her? They were the duo of that time.

Shadow was like La Llorona of the shop. No need for a full moon or a power outage for someone to enter when they had shadow around with his abilities. They had victims enter a bi weekly baises. To the point that nostalgia body was fully built and was missing the head. But before that could happen, the great incident came. Where a human delete sonic rush data and did something to it so bad that it killed blazed infront of the other. Blaze shadow vanisha fast with no warning. This scared everyone. Many other games lost their data, and other shadows got lost. This is where the heavy restrictions came and where shadow was sealed away on his game. He doesn't look the same. He is smaller and much more frail. A side effect of being sealed away for so long.

He been so overly protected of him. That he neglects his body to the point that Nostalgia is dying. A slow and painful death.

I was talking with some close friends of mine about Sonic Boom and why he was giving a strong, trans-coded character.

After a while of talking (and me dying in mc), we came to a conclusion.

The reason Boom Sonic is such an asshole is because Sonic is an insecure person!

Like my bro is so insecure about his identity that he plays the stereotypical man that he learn via media. The same will go to trans fem boom sonic. A fucking mean girl and pick me.

Sonic justifies this as a "yeah, this is how this [ insert a very stereotypical shit about side gender sonic is] and I'm cool" when in reality Sonic is not cool and comes across being a huge asshole.

This also goes affects the other headcanon I have that the main reason he hates Shadow to death like would fight him down is because Shadow can smell his insecurities so fast, but has no idea why that damn blue blur is insecure to death.

A gift

“What's this?” Starlight asked, looking at the rose shadow was holding “and why is it peach?” she added, looking at it well. Shadow looks at the rose and hands it to her as a gift. Her eyes widen and move away a bit, “You know everything I touch dies, right?” she says to him like a small reminder. 

Anything that death touches it will die instantly. It's been called the death touch. A very cheesy name, but it was something god of Life decided to pick. That blue blur always has to name everything. Like death, touch gods and goddesses of life got their own. Yes, Sonic, name it Life Touch… So damn cheesy.

Shadow sighs and still moves the rose over to her. “Trust me in this one starlight, it won't die,” he says as she looks at it with skepticism. “Just trust me,” he added a bit of softness in his tone. Starlight sighs and softly touches the rose leaf…… Nothing happened. Starlight looks at the still-intact flower. Not witter away or in ashes.

“How?” she asks, looking at him. “It's a fake rose,” he answered her. “There were three different types of materials, but I Seattle with plastic since glass takes time to make,” he added as starlight took the rose from his paw. Shadow looks at her have a genuine smile, and the creepy one she always has on. Starligh smells the fake rose while closing her eyes, enjoying it after eons of looking at the roses from afar; finally, she was able to hold one. 

Shadow looks forward to finding the sunset, “hope you enjoy it,” he says softly to her. A rare display of calm comes from this edgy hedgehog, “Oh, would forever love this shadow,” she says, grabbing his paw. “It's still weird that you don't…yk,” she says, looking at his paw. Shadow looks down at their paws as well. “I know strange” he says, looking at her. “Don't you guys wear.. gloves to prevent..yk?” he asks as Starlight laughs a bit.

“Oh yeah, I own some, but I hate how they feel. Mighty has been nagging me to wear my old gloves, but like, do I really need them?” she says as he thinks for a bit. “True, the only things you grab are food, your scythe, and my paw,” he says as starlight stops grabbing his paw. Shadow felt a sense of loneliness when she let go.

“But thank you for the rose,” She says, looking back at the rose with a soft smile. “I will cherish this for eons,” she added. “Yeah, with me,” he said calmly as she looked at him. “I doubt it, mobians aren't immortal, they don't live long unless” She leans over to him “you're hidden secretly from me,” she says with that creepy smile once more 

“Are you immortal, shadow the hedgehog?” she asked as he looked at her. “Perhaps,” he answered, looking at her golden eyes, “but that for another day, right now,” shadow grabs her paw. “Enjoy these flowers because this is just one of many I want to give you,” he looks over the rose she holds, “before you start to protest that it's too much, just take it as a thank you for being someone I care about,” he says with a gentle tone. This takes Starlight by surprise, and a blush just crept in. 

“I will,” she mutters, looking away from him.
