⟢ chapter 1

Anna finds herself in the position of a leader in Bloodhearth, but it wasn’t ambition that got her there, rather necessity. Eldest daughter of six, all orphaned by the Fae. It wasn’t much of a choice what to do next; she knew there was only surviving. Whatever choice meant survival was the right choice in the moment. She stole, killed, two-timed, bargained, was fooled time and time again, learned, came back meaner and more determined to keep her siblings fed and alive. Now, decades later, crime is the only thing she’s good at, and she couldn’t untangle herself from it if she tried. Anna knows she’s just a weapon in Bloodhearth’s hand, and she’s content if that’s all she’ll ever be. She is Bloodhearth. It raised her. No one will take it from her.

X7 - 843   ,      though  X7′s  don’t  speak  and  are  only  able  to  communicate  with  other  X7′s  via  ultrasound  waves ,  843  was  someone  that  selene  had  crossed  paths  with  after  the  manticore  fire.   being  the  caring ,  nurturing  kind  that  she  was ,  selene  took  her  in  and  allowed  her  to  stay  in  her  home  for  a  brief  moment.    843  was  created  to  be  stronger  and  faster  than  the  X5′s ,   like  other  transgenics  of  her  series.  they  were  far  more  ruthless  and  obedient ,  and  this  was  shown  in  their  earlier  interactions  with  each  other.    due  to  selene  being  able  to  escape  manticore  in  2009 ,  she  was  labeled  a  traitor  by  the  organization ,  and  thus  being  put  in  the  minds  of  other  transgenics  that  were  loyal  to  manticore  that  she  was  not  to  be  trusted.

after  realizing  this ,  and  after  finding  out  that  she  would  not  be  able  to  have  a  conversation  with  her ,  selene  did  what  she  could  to  try  and  win  her  over.   she  didn’t  want  to  hurt  her  in  any  way ,   she  was  only  a  child ,  and  she  didn’t  want  to  put  her  through  any  pain.  she  did  end  up  having  to  use  a  knife  as  self  defense ,  and  after  their  first  encounter ,  the  two  slowly  started  to  warm  up  to  each  other.    

they  communicated  through  ASL  and  other  gestures  that  would  make  sense  to  the  two  of  them.  she  later  gave  the  girl  the  name  sophia ,  given  to  her  because  she  was  smart  and  it  seemed  fitting.    selene  felt  a  strong  feeling  of  wanting  to  be  a  mother ,  and  wanted  to  keep  sophia  safe.  this  only  made  things  worse  because  when  she  left ,   it  left  her  with  this  empty  hole  in  her  chest ,  and  a  void  she’d  never  be  able  to  fill.

side  characters,  part  1:  present  !

so i saw @deathrisen do a really cool thing where they made a post about the npcs in their jason’s backstory and it inspired me to do something similar. these are a few of the npc’s in roy’s life CURRENTLY during his time as arsenal. some of them are based off canon chracters, others are just ocs that i made up. i’ll be making a post about people from his past, like his exs (there are a lot) and his old friends from the reservation.  these characters can / will be mentioned in future threads and if you have any questions about them feel free to ask. 

Chanda Madan  (  19  ).  based off of the canon chracter chanda from titans v1 but since i ignore the arc where cheshire bombed qurac or some nonsense she’s highly canon divergent ! a college student at the local university chanda baby sits lian when roy is away on missions for the titans. she is aware of his identity as arsenal. she takes good care of lian and roy considers her practically family. she has spent many a night crashed on his couch when he got home too late, or she needed a quiet place to study away from her roommates. she playfully flirts with roy calling him a hot dad/dilf but it’s mostly just her teasing him. JJ Lachowski  (  33  ). roy’s ex military contact inside checkmate. they worked together for many years when he was still with checkmate, but after he left ( on bad terms ) he still keeps in touch with her and she owes him a few favors from over the years. she’s trying to take over leadership of checkmate from steele and roy does what he can to support her— which is difficult now that he’s left the organization. Sofia Weiss  ( 40  ). roy’s kind and overly friendly next door neighbor who lives in the apartment across the hall from he and lian. occasionally she will watch lian when roy has to run to the store or step out of the house on short notice. she has 3 kids and a husband who is gone more often than not, so she knows what it’s like to raise a kid by yourself, and because of that she offers roy help when it’s clear he needs it (especially in the first months roy has lian). unaware/somewhat oblivious of roy’s secret identity as arsenal ( fc: paget brewster )

Omar Lamarck (  27  ).   based off of the canon character seen watching lian in outsiders #45, canon divergent but since nothing is known about him my city now ? omar is working his way through medical school, working as roy’s nanny as well as several other jobs. he has occasionally stitched roy up when he couldn’t do it himself. omar watches lian when roy is away for multiple day missions or when chanda is unavailable. ⟢ Chapter 1

Many wealthy, cutthroat vampires stalk the shadowed lanes of St. Vladimir’s, but none so powerful as the ancient Nikolas Archeron. Sure, once upon a time the kingpin vampire of Obsidian City was a marvel—he ran the streets and the VIP social scene of his day—but the centuries pass and in his success Nikolas grows overly cautious and weak, preferring now to keep to his subterranean castle and send his threats on the mouth of others. Some speculate that Nikolas was hunted and killed years ago, and now it’s his name alone that plays puppetmaster in the territories, but any staff on his grounds can tell you that’s but hear-say. He may rarely leave his confines, but he is still very much alive, well, and bloodthirsty in more ways than the one.
