This icy/hot Latina killed her workout today! Yes she increased her squats and did 125lbs. For her glute bridge she did 225lbs and performed walking lunges with 20lbs dumbbells. This is week 2 for Alice and her bikini adventures to the stage. I'm a proud coach because I know she is giving it her all and not messing around. Last year I met Christina Chesnut @cchesnut12 in September of 2016. She started training with me and decided she wanted to compete. This past March she competed in her very first bikini competition. Taking home two trophies, 3rd place in Bikini Novice, and 3rd place in Bikini Open. When she first started she weighed in at 168lbs and since lost 32lbs. Her final stage weight was 136. Training her has been wonderful because the stronger she gets the more I can challenge her. I couldn't be more proud of her as she has completely changed her lifestyle and proven not only to the judges but to herself she can do this and has what it takes to win. I can't wait till she competes again! It has been so much fun training her and her partner in crime @afisk12. Let's talk about transformations and a heart of a champion. I have had the pleasure of knowing Angelica @angelicasm91 the past six years. Previously I worked with her at a doctors office, which it was there I saw her work ethic. It was also then she saw me do my fist bikini competition. Two years ago she joined me and decided she wanted to compete. She did her fist show in March 2014 and second show this past March 2016. This last prep Angelica started at 135lbs and ended losing 20lbs. I know she put her heart and soul in this last show regardless of all her set backs. Twice she got sick with a sinus infection and she got set back by four days with a sprained ankle from work. However, not once did she complain to me or cry. Instead she sucked it up and kept going. In my eyes, she is a true champion and winner! Not only is she humble, hardworking, but she is also very gracious. I am proud to be her friend and ecstatic to have been her coach. Now by no means is she done competing as we have plans for her to do another show this year and take home a trophy. As a coach I am extremely proud of all of my girls who competed this past March in the NPC Natural Western. I know both Christina Chesnut and Keely Wright are still on cloud nine but I am too! Both girls took home two trophies each!!! Christina got third in both Bikini Novice Class D and Bikini Open Class D. Keely took 4th in Bikini Open Class D and 5th in Bikini Open Class D. These girls worked extremely hard on their workouts, cardio, and posing. Three months of dedication, determination, and desire to compete got them their trophies. Competing is not easy and it requires a lot however it is a choice. I couldn't be anymore proud of both of these girls for trusting in the process and me to help get them to their goal. I do want to make a special shout out to my coach, mentor, and boss Patricia Gonzales @topphysique. of her I have had a successful streak of winning at all my bikini shows. She has taught me very well and coached me through so much. Thanks to her I now feel confident as a coach to train all of my competitors to be just as successful as I have been. Go Team Top Physique for cleaning the house this past March!!!! As a team we took 17 trophies home!!!
