A plugin that cleans up the appearance of NPF images on Tumblr themes, allowing them to mimic the appearance of legacy photo posts. Only applies to Tumblr themes, not the Tumblr dashboard.

✦ What is NPF?

"Neue Post Format" — prior to est. 2020, users could create posts of a primary type (i.e. text, photo, quote, link, chat, video). In recent years, Tumblr introduced NPF as the only available post type (i.e. everything becomes a text post) despite the post editor showing the illusion of different post types. NPF images can also refer to images between paragraphs (inline images).

disclaimer: this was never meant to be a "serious" theme and it still isn't. I obviously tried to make it a fully working theme but I have a feeling some things (particularly videos) might be wonky.

In the next step of Tumblr slowly getting rid of blog personalization, reblogs on my personalized blog (blazehedgehog.tumblr.com) are currently broken. If I reblog something, it shows the original blog, but not my reply to that blog.

I informed Tumblr support about this and their response to me was a shrug. They basically told me to get a new blog theme that works with whatever changes they're making to the back end. If I wanted a new blog theme, I would have gotten one 3 years ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago...

So now there's a bunch of broken posts on my blog, it's not my fault, and Tumblr @staff has no interest in making sure their site works correctly. They'd much rather you use tumblr.com/blazehedgehog, I'm sure.
