The Auror's office can, unfortunately, confirm that now identified singer Brinley Finnigan-Thomas was killed from her attack two weeks ago by the Dark Lord. Her family has yet to comment on their loss of daughter and sister.

Breaking - Minister Announces Plans to Restrict Communication Outside Wizarding World
The Minister for Magic has announced she plans to restrict communication beyond the wizarding word, says a representative for the Minister.
The new law, which has to first be voted on and approved by the Ministry to be passed, will restrict contact with muggles and will be under strict surveillance by the Ministry. Floo powder and other means of travel will not be permitted in the homes of muggleborns. Under this law, families of both magical and muggle decent must get written approval before being allowed to use these services..
Feelings are mixed on this new law. Many are saying this sounds too much like a law that would have been passed during Voldemort’s reign. But the Minister insists it’s to protect the wizarding world from having anyone else to rise up against it.
“It’s for the good of the people,” she said, “We must keep our world sacred.”

Breaking News - Young Woman attacked by New Dark Lord

The auror’s office confirmed a young woman was attacked late last night by the still unidentifiable individual labeling themselves as Voldemort’s ‘Successor,’ leaving her in critical condition. Early reports say a letter was left at the scene and revealed she might not have been the intended victim.
Her name has not yet been revealed. More information about the attack and her condition will be given when it’s available.

This is the first part of our plot drop! We’d like it to be mandatory, meaning we really encourage you guys to take part in some sort of conversation or plot dealing with the Successor making their first actual appearance. If it’s terribly OOC for your character to do that -- we understand! But we’d really like everyone to be involved and hopefully this will get some more in-depth plots going and help move along our group plot. also make sure you’re following the successor’s blog ( here ). treat it like you would the gossip blog. it’s a blog that’s run by the new dark lord. at this current part in the plot, it’s just a rumor that it is, but keep in mind especially if you play a character auror or person involved with law enforcement: the blog is untraceable and the identity of the person running the blog will not be able to be found/the blog hacked into unless we make a specific post about it!
Another victim was found at last week’s birthday celebrations, the Auror’s office has confirmed. The victim’s name has been withheld until all family members have been notified, but it has been revealed that they were a reporter from the Daily Prophet, closely following the stories involving the recent attacks and murder of Brinley Finnigan-Thomas.
Due to the nature of recent events, all of the wizarding world has been issued mandatory notice to attend questioning at the auror office at their earliest convenience. Failure to cooperate may result in arrest at the Head Auror’s discretion.

Breaking News - Unidentified Victim found at Harry Potter’s birthday celebration, Auror office instructed to keep quiet.
According to an unnamed source, the body of a yet-to-be-identified victim was found at Harry Potter’s birthday celebration last week. The source added that had they not revealed this information, no one would have spoken on the matter as the higher ups at the Ministry closely connected to Potter have been instructed to remain quiet as per his request.
The Prophet contacted various officials at the Ministry including the Minister, Head Auror, Chief Warlock Draco Malfoy, and Hermione Granger-Weasley. We are waiting on the latter’s reply, but the Minister said she is “closely” monitoring the situation.
Malfoy and Potter both refused to comment.

A memorial and dinner will be held in honor of Brinley Finnigan-Thomas in the Great Hall of Hogwarts this weekend. All of the wizarding community is invited to attend. In addition, after the memorial, the members of the various armies will be meeting around Hogwarts and Hogsmeade in secret.
