The third annual Christmas in July Ball has begun! The event will be held at Malfoy Manor for all to attend. Dinner and refreshments will be served -- remember formal wear is required!

Create an event themed aesthetic or moodboard for your character. You don’t have to send a symbol for this, you can just create them! Please try to keep it to one aesthetic per character so we don’t clog up the dash. Aesthetics shouldn’t outnumber replies!

part two of the successor take-over. harry’s birthday. 

The wizarding world will come together to celebrate the Chosen One’s birthday next week, as the three-year tradition holds, in a muggle-style carnival held in Diagon Alley. The alley will be transformed with carnival rides, food vendors and live entertainment. Everyone is invited to attend.

This event will begin next Monday, July 30th and end next Saturday, August 4th. Your event threads can continue past that date, but no new starters need to be made beyond Saturday.This will be a plot event. The details of the plot drop aren’t going to be disclosed until the event progresses next week, but we will ask for some characters to be directly involved! If you have any questions, let us know.

event update -- murder on the hogwarts express.

Just before midnight as guests prepared to ring in 2028 by questioning each other on the “death” of their host, a real crime was committed. Marcelina Bloem was found, the apparent victim of an attack. Party-goers aren’t allowed to leave the train until they’re questioned by an auror.

you can continue any event threads you have, but no new starters need to be posted regarding the event unless you’re using this information to transition out.

any threads dealing with marcie’s injuries etc. need to be talked out with us or caro before doing it. no godmodding marcie just because she’s injured xx

we’re not actually doing a questioning task yet. if your character interacted with marcie at some point during the event, they would have been kept on the train longer for auror questioning. otherwise, you can play it out like your character was questioned on basic things like where they were and who they were with and then they can leave.

part one of the successor take-over event. brinley’s memorial.

A memorial and dinner will be held in honor of Brinley Finnigan-Thomas in the Great Hall of Hogwarts this weekend. All of the wizarding community is invited to attend. In addition, after the memorial, the members of the various armies will be meeting around Hogwarts and Hogsmeade in secret.

This event will begin today, July 22nd. This is a mini-event, so we’d like no new starters to be posted after Thurdsday since we have another event coming up this weekend, but you may continue your threads beyond that. Participation in this part is optional, but we highly encourage you to plot with this plot drop! Your characters may attend only the memorial, or the memorial and an army meeting -- but no one should be aware of the other armies meeting.unless you’re a member of that army.

Army leaders: if you want to do anything or have your members thread about anything specific, let us know ASAP.

Notice from the Minister’s Office: Brinley Finnigan-Thomas’s death has officially been ruled a homicide. Because of that, the Ministry has made the decision to pass the law restricting travel and communication beyond the wizarding world. Starting effective immediately all travel to any location beyond the boundaries of the wizarding world have been restricted and must have approval by the Ministry. Muggleborns and half-bloods with family members are also required to check-in with the Ministry before traveling to visit them. Communication has been restricted, and any calls or texts may be monitored by the Ministry freely. The Ministry has the right to bring in anyone at anytime for questioning should they have reason to believe their behavior is suspicious. 

about the event

This will be a multi-part task, with the first part beginning this weekend. While the events are optional, we are requiring the theme of this task. This means that because this effects everyone in the wizarding world to some degree, we highly encourage everyone to thread and plot about what’s going on to some degree. If you would like any of your characters to be involved in this event in any way, message us as soon as possible (preferably on Discord so we’ll see it quicker!), and we’ll incorporate them in some way. We’ll post more information about the first task event soon.

This even has now begun. Remember it’s optional, so you don’t have to participate. We’re treating it as these are happening through the weekend, so your characters can attend more than one if you want, just tag them accordingly so others know who to reply to.

Graduation Gala - this is a formal ball that will be held in the Great Hall of the university to celebrate the class of 2027. we aren’t actually threading the ceremony, so treat this as happening after. ( tag: nrpgrad )
