for those not in the know: lanie is my nsbu oc/sona/whatever the hell and i love her dearly. she’s a 19 year old college dropout, because her parents wouldn’t pay for her tuition despite being well off enough to be able to, and she can’t pay it herself, so she’s working a shitty job at dave’s video world in an attempt to pay off her student loan debt. she says nowhere else will hire her. whether or not that’s the truth is debatable. she gives off “popular girl in high school who calls you her best friend but you can’t tell if she means it or if she’s making fun of you” vibes but she almost always means it. almost.

cara intro post… after all these years…

for those not in the know: cara loft is the lead of Definitely Original movie Catacomb Crawler (which is definitely an 80s movie don’t look that up) and a supposed archaeologist who spends most of her time running through abandoned crypts, stealing artifacts, sort of solving mysteries, and kissing girls. except this is the 80s, so she kind of isn’t on that last one. it’s complicated. she’s a lesbian who has seemingly endless amounts of patience for lanie’s terrible flirting with her best friends, even if it’s more because she can’t really do anything about it. she has deeply complicated relationships with both her tech/weapons supplier violet and her sister arielle. only one of these things is likely to get solved. she’s badass and cool as hell and then suddenly none of those things bc lanie is a loser but hey. it is what it is.
