An incredible day, the weather matching the spectacular view. NSHRY does big brunches with an unusual japanese flair.
umami burger - 200g wagyu & angus, gruyere, caramelised onions, oven roasted tomatoes, parmesan crisp, brioche bun // tempura battered flake & hand cut potato chips // black mussels w chorizo, tomato, parsley, coriander
Juicy & lightly pink, a pillowy brioche bun with a sharp parmesan crisp. The fish was fresh, but Tempura Hajime's impeccable tempura has me spoilt, and those fluffy hand cut potato strips - divine. The mussels were equally fresh with a bold tomato & coriander.

The Experience
Undeniably the best burger experience I've had all year. The Umami Burger deserves all the hype it's been receiving. The wagyu and angus beef patty was juicy and the parmesan crisp was interesting. The Crispy Chicken Burger lived up to it's name! It was crispy and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't overly dry.
The beer battered chips were crunchy and delicious. I also felt absolutely spoilt for choice with the three condiments which accompanied the chips; tomato, spicy chip dip and wasabi kewpie. They were all stand-outs in their own way.
The salads which accompanied the burgers surprised us, since we weren't really expecting quality salad. It was a welcome break from the the burger and chips. Those who ordered the Umami Burger enjoyed some coleslaw. Whereas Crispy Chicken Burger came with a salad combination, which was a bit more interesting; celery, apple, lettuce and walnuts.
I was curious enough to order a Watermelon breakfast juice, made of up watermelon, lime, ginger & mint - and I was very happy that I did. I thought the pieces of pieces of ginger in my drink was a bit too chunky. The texture was unexpected and may be a little unpleasant to some. I'm a fan of ginger so I didn't mind it so much.
When it comes to burgers, Nshry has definitely earned a place on the top of my list of places to recommend. I really look forward to revisiting and trying other things on their menu.
