6029 - “The Garratt” in Action
Australia’s Largest Steam Locomotive
Steam Locomotive "Garratt" 6029 shunts its train from the yard to Moss Vale's platform 2 before departing with the "Southern Highlander to Picton, where diesels 4403 & 4201 for the last leg to Sydney's Central Station.
Steam Locomotive 3265 “Hunter”
3265 is a “Ten-wheel’ 4-6-0 express passenger steam locomotive.
It was built by Beyer, Peacock and Company in Manchester, England and entered service in 1902.
The locomotive was withdrawn from regular service in 1968, and stored for later preservation. The loco returned to service in 2009 and owned by the NSWRTM.
