Swiftie Secret Santa 2018!!
Hey guys! So I have just finished sorting everyone who filled out the google form, and I (@tshifty)** will be sending out dm’s later tonight* with your assigned person as well as information to help you send cute messages and to help with your gift at the end! Below I will explain how this should work.
*if you filled out the google form and have not received a dm from me by noon est tomorrow (dec 1st) then dm me.
**if for some reason you cannot reach me (im pretty busy with the end of the semester) then either send us an ask, or dm @friendlyneighborhoodpegacorn or @swiftiemere who are helping me to facilitate this secret santa project!!
1. Every day from December 1st until December 23rd, send an anonymous ask to your assigned person. The content of these asks should be fun and lighthearted! Use the information provided to strike up a conversation! Do not like reblog or reply to the ask when they publish it, that gives you away!!!!
I paired everyone up by time zone as best as I could to hopefully avoid any problems there!
2. KEEP YOUR ANONS ON THE ENTIRE TIME. I don’t know how to emphasize this enough... if your anons aren’t on then you can’t receive asks from your secret santa. Please do not make me come ask you to turn your anons back on, it creates a whole number of issues. Just keep them on.
3. Tag all of your answered secret santa asks with #ntnsecretsanta2018!!
This will not only help us organize this and make sure everyone is getting asks, but also will allow your secret santa to easily find your responses!!
4. Make it clear that you’re the person’s secret santa!! Don’t tell them your name or anything to give you away, but make it clear you’re their secret santa.
You can include a santa or holiday emoji, or you can just sign it as “-your secret santa” or something.
5. Check to see if your assigned person celebrates Christmas, or if they celebrate another holiday. This information will be included in the dm I send you with all of their preferences.
Send your asks accordingly!! If they don’t celebrate Christmas then make an effort to learn about/ask about the other holiday they celebrate!!!
6. On December 24th at 8pm EST you will reveal yourself and post a gift for your assigned person!! Post your gift, then send them an ask off anon telling them that you are their secret santa to make sure they see the gift!!
Gifts can be anything at all, from gifsets/photosets/graphics to poems to drawings/paintings... be creative!! Figure out what your assigned person is into and try to make something they’ll like! If you don’t know what to make you can dm @tshifty and I will try to help you figure something out.
