personally I am of the opinion that vegans who are like “the way our food system currently works under capitalism on a large scale is exceptionally cruel to all animals including humans and is not sustainable, so I’m doing what I can to make the most ethical choices available to me about what I eat and encourage others to do the same” are generally very reasonable people who I agree with in spades. but vegans who seem to think human beings are not themselves animals who are ultimately also part of the food chain but instead some kind of other paternalistic higher entity that can never engage in ethical and sustainable hunting practices (and especially the fringe I’ve seen who think other carnivorous animal predators are also evil and need to be eliminated) are people I regard as foolish at best if not actively anti-indigenous and racist

#and the way of the world is that most vegans are lovely people with healthy food relationships who actually have great food advice #and the ones you see in online comments are terrifying

louis and armand go to great lengths to shelter not only each other's narratives from daniel in s3 but also lestat's. despite them both having extensive knowledge of lestat's experiences with nicki and magnus (and armand specifically knowing about gabrielle) they elect to share none of this except the very bare minimum necessary for context during the interview. armand presents lestat as a prince charming before any sort of struggling victim. just like louis and armand crafted their narrative in defense of being exploited by daniel, in many ways it seems like they extended the same consideration to lestat. if the promo scars are for real scars from the wolves, that's another thing louis completely left out of his retelling bc he just didn't consider it his place to tell. now see how classy loumand were and how even in their anger against lestat they still protect his story & trauma versus lestat who according to s3 promo is "pissed" at their version of events and telling his own out of spite. lestat is going full SCORCHED EARTH with ALL of their dirty laundry bc he just refused the memo. LOUMANDSTAT YOU ARE EVERYTHIIING.
