Sometimes the chaos of the everyday surpasses my tolerance of same. On those days, if I could change all the furnishings in my home to be a soothing shade of taupe, I would. No prints, no patterns, no shapes for my brain to try and decipher. No smudges or fingerprints, either, because it wouldn't show dirt! Haha! Added bonus. But. I can't do that, and if I did, it would start to feel a bit institutional after a while. I can, however, paint my nails a greigy-taupey-brownish shade, and stare at them.
