Counterargument to the AI art stuff: AI art being entered in a contest is concerning because the rapid development of AI art generators is symptomatic of the capitalist desire to reduce the creation of media into an algorithm driven efficiency machine. The AI art is fine, but it represents a very real encroachment of capitalist interests into the creative sphere. The end goal of the companies funding these AIs is a world in which paying artists is no longer necessary to generate media content.
