Coldflash Silent Hill AU | hello i am Listening 👀
Slooooowly moving through my backlog of asks, because my brain doesn't like to let me do things I might enjoy. For those who have forgotten, the next few asks are from the WIP nudge meme I posted back in October.
SO. Let's talk about my Silent Hill AU.
I originally conceived this story immediately after Legends of Tomorrow S1, specifically right after Leonard died.
Silent Hill is all about purgatory space, guilt devouring you from inside until you either succumb to it, or you escape it. And Barry has so. much. guilt. I thought of this story much like the games, that there would be come psychological component to each layer of SH (and in addition, Barry's guilt.) E!2 Joe, Ronnie, his mom -- they all become things that he has to face.
And of course, because my heart's not in it unless it's coldflash, Len is the one waiting for him at the end of all of it.
An excerpt:
Barry continued to walk through the chilly, damp mist--he didn't seem to get anywhere faster when he used his speed, so for the time being he decided to keep his energy consumption low. He didn't know how long it would be before he could eat, or even if he wanted to eat anything in a place like this.
The blinding white fog grew darker, and the air carried a hint of fire and smoke. He wasn't terribly surprised when the fog thinned and Heatwave was planted in his path.
