I just didn't notice this while reading it again but these two panel here have different contexts but the same weight and meaning towards it.
Both Kawaki and Sarada, despite knowing Sumire's feelings for Boruto, have quite hurt her emotionally. And in both scenarios, Sumire still understood their action, and put aside to care about Boruto's well being.
1. Kawaki literally killed Boruto, and Sumire is the first amongst the new-gen who knows the truth. At first, this shocked her but she quite understood his action and how both, Boruto and Kawaki, had to take a painful decision. 2. Sarada didn't even think about Sumire's feelings after she threw herself to Boruto in front of her. Even still, Sumire already understand the friendship they share and cared for Boruto's well being. (plus the novel also mentions it too.)
A minor parallel that I didn't pick up but it's quite interesting, and also how cute that she still cares for him anyway.🥺🤧🩷💜✨ (But maybe it's done on purpose or it's a coincidence??)
