LIGHT AND SOUND INSTALLATION BY NOHISTA & COLLECTIF COIN
Cyclique was an aerial light and sound installation created by audiovisual artist Nohista and Collectif Coin for Nuit Blanche 2013. The array of 256 large white balloons was embedded with LEDs that blinked in sequence with various audio tracks and was further enhanced by the impact of wind which altered the layout and motion of the piece.

This poem was what caught my attention at Nathan Phillips Square last night at Nuit Blanche. Not that the cars weren't interesting, or Forever Bicycles were not as intriguing. However, the philosophical message behind this quote just amazed me. I stopped and just pondered over what it meant.
I have my life's purpose (although I'm still figuring that out) and so does everyone else. And I believe that each of our lives have some sort of an impact on others. If not, what would life be? A lot of my friends have mentioned to me that they have not seen me dance, although I dance weekly. One could argue that it is because I don't invite people. However, performing is a great way for me to just have fun with dance. And just be in my element for just a couple of minutes. And it doesn't matter who my audience is, I just want to dance and express the music and the purpose behind it.
The simplicity of the quote and how it was portrayed on the square was stunning. I like simplicity, and how it stood out in the mass of people that night was so subtle. Just impactful.
