on the left is one of lueuriel's many desert temples, made of glass sculpted from the very sand it sits on. at its center sits a massive irregularly shaped prism, refracting the suns' light in a kaleidoscope visible for miles.

on the right is one of nuitesse's underground sanctuaries - carved directly out of the stone, hidden in winding, labyrinthine tunnel systems, ensuring no light from the surface penetrates the depths.

lueuriel v nuitesse, one time of many

two of the members of the pantheon of tunturioma (my dnd campaign's world) !! sibling gods lueuriel and nuitesse, demigods of light and shadow, respectively. both worshipped by an underground french cult originally devoted to their father - d'avoird, god of sight.

lueuriel: demigod of light, prisms, wavelengths, and frequencies

the older of the two, blatantly favored by their father. he lost his arms in his youth after a bloody training session went wrong between him and nuitesse, in which her leg was severed as she misjudged a teleportation spell. d'avoird, outraged, sentenced nuitesse to be exiled to an outer plane. when she fled, lueuriel was sent on a life-long mission to track down his sister and execute her sentence.

wielding the very blades nuitesse left implanted in his armpits all those years ago, his mask (commissioned by his father) grants him two permanent bolstered mage hands as he hunts down nuitesse and works as a bounty hunter of the gods.

nuitesse: demigoddess of shadow, obfuscation, absence, and escape

the younger of the two, wily and self-sufficient. gifted teleportress and umbral rogue. after she teleported directly into her brother's halberd blade and cleanly severed her leg, she retaliated and cost lueuriel his arms. when her father decreed her exile, she vanished. that night, she snuck into d'avoird's bedroom as he slept, paralyzed him with a spell, and stole his eyes, permanently blinding him and making his godly powers all but useless. she fled, and sought out the ya'ensha forges of chimney to craft her a prosthetic replacement for her leg.

since that fateful day, she has been on the run over all of tunturioma, stealing whatever food and supplies she can find as she eludes her brother.
