What: Domaine Romanée Conti, La Romanée Conti When: February 2015 Well wine friends, I suppose this needs no introduction. After a wonderful morning touring the vineyards around Nuits St Georges we started the drive toward Vosne-Romanée in search of the legend. The town itself is utterly beautiful - quiet, quaint and unmistakably Bourgogne. Taking the drive out of the main town the first surprise was a complete lack of signage, advertising, or any grand Bordeaux-esque Chateaus. Just the important stuff - vines. I loved the udnerstatedness of the place -it's almost as if it only rewards those with the patience and desire to go and find it for themselves. So I came around with a plot map on my phone and started the adventure to locate the holy grail. We stumbled upon Richebourg and immediately I knew we were close.
