How did sideswipe die in the g1 movie

Regrettably, the wicked firebrand known as Sideswipe died, but not in the way you think. He and Sunstreaker joined the Battle at Autobot City and fought bravely. After the brutal assault and the subsequent attack by Galvatron, Sideswipe was shaken. In one day, he watched dozens of his friends die, and was overwhelmed by the sudden loss of friendships that had lasted for millions of years. The burning spirit of battle seemed to have vanished from him. He remained behind at Autobot City, helping Blaster to rebuild it, but he was never the same afterwards. "I'm one of the most wicked bots around," he once said in a session with Rung. "So why is it I'm full of regret?"

Sunstreaker tried, and still tries, to lift his brother's spirits. He spent most of his days talking with NUL-A, until one day he had an epiphany: others must be suffering like he is, simply hiding it behind bluster and empty bravado. He, Sunstreaker, Rung, First Aid and NUL-A formed Jet Judo Support, a clinic whose goal is promoting the mental health of technological beings. He let the wicked bluster die at last, and now leads a life of serenity, without regrets.
