Dombivli: Nullah water turns green, locals suspect release of chemicals from industries | Thane News

KALYAN: A nullah water passing through Gandhi Nagar area in Dombivli turned green allegedly due to a release of chemicals from Dombivli MIDC on Monday. The locals blamed chemicals from industries in the MIDC area for changes in colour and informed the same to Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. (MPCB). The locals suspect that someone from industries may have released chemicals or chemical powders considering heavy rains in Kalyan-Dombivli. Earlier in February 2020, due to pollution from industries, the road's colour had become pink. Following that, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray had sought a report from the MPCB, and action was taken against several industries in MIDC.
