Also like imagine the ice cold FEAR the lords experience every time Byleth faints or sleeps because they don't know if Byleth will be back in an hour, 8 hours, a day, week, month, or years. I imagine the lords panicking when Byleth doesn't wake in a timely manner and contemplate if they can survive another 5 years without them

NULL.......... this is so upsetting but u know it’s true..... :^( 

i feel like el would constantly have someone checking up on by so often if she can’t herself... once byleth slept in a little bit extra so she shook them like “teacher please don’t leave me again!” byleth is confused as to why el is clutching her crying UGH

claude sometimes checks in when he’s making his rounds around campus, sometimes he even reads outside their door so he can check every so often to make sure they’re alive and not gone again

dimitri has nightmares about losing them again and wants to go check on his professor but doesn’t want to bother them... once, though, just to make sure he ended up waking them up and seeing the state he was in byleth invited him to stay with them
