Below are four drabbles (100 words) each using prompts from my 500themes challenge. General disclaimer; I am just having fun and no harm is intended.
The prompt is in bold.
He leads her outside in silence, just a small smile on his face allowing her to know it's safe. She shivers at the cool temperature wishing she grabbed her hoodie or anything similar. She turns to him eyebrows rise about to ask what is going on. His smile grows and he points up at the sky, wow is all she can say. As they watch a firestorm of shooting stars. At first she wants to call out the others to watch, but as he places his hand on her shoulder she knows this moment is a moment just for them.

The essence of life.
Its her smile. Its her kindness. Its her determination. Its her passion. Its....just Zendaya. Val thinks as he tries to come up with reasons as to why he found himself so enamored by her and everything she did. Since they formal met and shook hands Val's entire life changed. In ways he couldn't, wouldn't, and didn't want to explain.
"Well so what's the story?" He is asked again.
"Like I said Zendaya is simply the missing essence of happiness in my world."
"Your what?" Val just shrugs, yeah he couldn't, wouldn't, and doesn't explain they won't understand it anyways.

Nothing lost, nothing gained.
"We should go out." Zendaya whispers as Val reads over the menu.
"If you haven't noticed we are."
"Not like this. I mean on an actual date without a dozen people." Her head nods towards the rest of the table, a mix of his friends and her parents.
"Are you for real? I mean won't it be weird?"
"Weird why? I like you. Maybe just as a friend. Or perhaps more. We won't lose that if we try, but could gain something."
"Hey! You two! Earth to Valdaya!" Maks bangs the table drawing them back to reality.
"Let's do it."

Letting go.
Second place. Silver. Runner up. Close but no cigar. First place loser. All those analogies fire through Zendaya's brain as she watches Kellie and Derek celebrate. She wants to be gracious loser, after all it was just about the experience and having fun. She had more than fun, she had the best couple months in her life. Thanks to her grouchy pants who is also watching the celebration; but unlike her he doesn't have a fake smile. And she knows his thoughts are far less kind. In time they'd let go of the hurt and just focus on the happiness.
