I'm 22 now, and my ocd stared to really mess with me when I was around 10-12. So I've had it for at least 10 years.
The past few years I've been vocal about it. Like I have ocd and if you can't handle it then we can't be friends kind of thing.
However just recently I found out my little brother (two years younger than me) had no idea I have ocd. And I'm like... Dan, the lady working in our grocery store probably knows I have ocd. How has it never come across in a conversation between us for 10 odd years

tocdfw your therapist recommended going on meds and at first your parents gave you a hard time, but eventually gave in. but now that you've been having a "good" 2+ weeks (by distracting yourself) they seem to have completely forgotten and act like you don't need it anymore, even tho you're dreading when the "good" period ends. and now you're afraid to bring it up bc they will probably say "but you seem fine and don't need it!"
