They didn’t wish each other luck before missions, they’d been training for as long as they could remember. They didn’t need luck. No, they’d been going on missions for years already by that point. They were well oiled machines and they felt invincible.
It was a normal mission, in all technicality. They’d however been trying a new method of madness. Instead of six person teams they would be pairing up or in trios. Ben definitely hadn’t been enthusiastic to hear that he and {00.01} Luther would be going out on their own.
Ben found it odd though that he remembered going to the mission but not the travel home. He just remembered waking up at the manor, bloody and cold. Numbingly cold. He hadn’t needed to open any doors.
When had he arrived?
It didn’t matter, it must’ve been a concussion from the fight during the mission. He must’ve hit his head, or gotten bounced around. The most shocking thing though was that he didn’t feel the Horrors lurking under his skin. Perhaps the eldritch monsters were simply sated with the blood they’d shed.
Maybe?
He made his way up to his and Klaus’ shared room - which was technically two rooms with a door connecting them in the middle that they generally speaking kept open so they could come and go as they needed and also kept privacy. It came in handy when Klaus had nightmares or Ben couldn’t sleep due to the primordial creatures whispering dark things to him or causing him pain. It made things easier.
He walked into Klaus’ room first, to let him know that he was home, he’d shower shortly thereafter, scrub away the blood.
❝I’m back, Klaus.❞ He said, hands shocked into the pockets of the leather uniform that the Academy members wore on missions. He removed his domino mask and tossed it into his room.
❝Anything happen while I was gone?❞

@numbinghigh said:“Save the lecture, I was already leaving.”
There had been a pause when Vanya had opened the door to her apartment and she’d seen Klaus there in her living room. It wasn’t entirely uncommon for her to come home to find him there, she’d offered to let him have her couch whenever he needed but — ❝Where are you going?❞ She asked as she stepped inside and shut the door behind herself, clutching her violin case close. ❝I’ve told you a million times, you’re welcome to stay.❞

Vanya was surprisingly out of breath , she stood within her old room with items all over the floor as she couldn’t find any of her med’s. The brunette rubbed her neck and sighed ; knowing all too well she should of brought more from home.
She came downstairs to check her secret hiding spots but still no luck. When she came passed the living room she could see a figure laying down and she just called out.
“Hey - have you seen my meds....?”

So maybe his aim was far too perfect to even think that this was an accident, but he really didn’t think he’d be able to hit the moving target that ended up being Klaus. “I’m sorry!” He called back, trying to get over to his brother. “Shit.” He murmured, despite the constant reminder that they were’t exactly supposed to curse.
“I didn’t think I’d be able to knick you bad.” Number Two let a short glance over the leg where the knife had been, before adding, “I need to go get mom! Are you going to be okay, or should I drag you to the medic ward? Maybe I can get One to carry you?” He didn’t want to have to rely on Luther to do that, but at this point, what other choice did he have.

The exorcist’s eyes surveyed over Klaus’ appearance, there was something off putting about him that the man couldn’t place. Perhaps it was the smudged kohl around his eyes, but John’s gut told him it was something more. His tie was already loose around his neck, but he found himself giving it a light tug as he approached him. Perhaps what bothered him the most was that John wasn’t entirely sure what had drawn him to The Seance, other than a desperate need for a lighter. “Got a light?” John asked him, waving his own box of menthols.
Sleep didn’t come easy to a war stained veteran, and when it did it didn’t stay long. Dave had woken up in the small hours of the morning after having a bad dream; it wasn’t so much a dream as a memory from what seemed like a lifetime ago but it wasn’t. He was still haunted by the sights, the friends he saw die horrifically, the innocent lives that were taken and he tried so hard to keep everything tucked away so to not worry Klaus. He didn’t want to disturb him too, there was no sense in that. So he just took himself downstairs and helped himself to some snacks from the pantry. Though Klaus wasn’t much of a sleeper anyway and it wasn’t long before he caught him sat with his knees up to his chest at the kitchen table nursing a carton of ice cream with a half-eaten sandwich in front of him on a plate with an empty bag of chips. “This is exactly what it looks like.”

He offered the other a cigarette after taking one for himself and lighting it. “Suppose that makes me one of fourty-three,” He said, having just had the situation explained to him. He knew of his own powers, of course, and everyone had heard of Reginald Hargreeves’ Umbrella Academy but he didn’t realize there had been so many children. “Monday,” he introduced himself, realizing he hadn’t yet, “Blue Monday.” He paused. “Have you ever crossed paths with the others?”
