He could tell she wasnât doing okay, a talent of his he supposed. Being able to read people, even at a younger age. â Hey. â he smiles, reaching out to take the knife gently from her hand. â Iâm fine. You did good. â he attempts to reassure her with a smile. â Itâs important to know how to protect yourself. â heâd been worried when sheâd gone missing. Luckily she had a family capable of saving her. If sheâd been anyone else, he didnât even want to think of what could have happened. He was just glad she was okay. â Letâs take a break. âÂ
She felt guilt coil in the pit of her stomach even as Ben smiled at her and gently took the knife away from her and reassured her that she did good. Perhaps this was why Ben was her favourite brother. He was sweet. He was kind. He treated her like part of the family. âI did?â She asked, needing that extra little bit of reassurance and at the suggestion of taking a break, all Vanya could do was nod. ââYes please.â

Physical training was always really hard for him, he hated having to fight his siblings. Heâd much rather be off reading a book somewhere. Maybe he was going to easy on her, could anyone blame him? It was Vanya! His back finds the nearest wall, a soft gasp of surprise as he blinks several times. He swallows hard, hands moving up slowly to show his surrender. It left him sick to his stomach in all honest, his sister standing there with a knife to his throat. It wasnât a sensation heâd ever get use to. â Y-you win. â he exclaims, visibly shaken.
Much like Ben, physical training was difficult for her. She hated the idea of having to hurt anyone, especially her siblings. Even without the idea of hurting anyone, the training wasnât something she was used to. Sheâd only begun physical training after being kidnapped right out of their home when everyone was away on a mission. It had been incentive for Reginald to finally teach her to protect herself. She was breathing hard, her hand shook as she stood in front of Ben with a knife to his throat and she looked like she wanted to cry. ââOkay. Okay. Iâm sorry.â She breathed out as she pulled back. ââI didnât hurt you, did I?â

â Because theyâre afraid of you! â The White Violin snaps. â They spend time with you only only to prevent a loss of control! You never lost control, you simply did what was within your power to do. OUR POWER! â she was weak, unable to exist properly with those damn drugs in their system. But she refused to be silenced, not again. Even without her power, she would make herself present. Vanya wouldnât toss her aside so easily, as easily as their so-called father had! The White Violin had a right to exist! Just as much a right as the rest of them did. â Even you hate me, youâre afraid of me! Why? Are we not one in the same?! â she counters.Â
Because theyâre afraid of you.
The words resonated within her as if she was a string drawn tight and the bow had moved slowly across it, drawn out by a fermata that seemed to be held indefinitely by the conductor. She wanted to deny the words that the White Violin was saying but as she opened her mouth to speak, found she couldnât breathe them out.Â
How could she lie to herself?Â
âI did lose control, though. I hurt Allison. I nearly killed her. I didnât mean to.â She answered finally. How could she claim that she hadnât lost control when she very literally had? Sheâd never meant to hurt Allison. Nor to bring about the apocalypse. Sheâd just been hurt and angry and scared and, so many emotions had run through her. No longer sedated or unable to feel the extent of emotion such as anger.Â
âIâm not afraid of you. Iâm afraid of what I can do without trying. Iâm afraid that Iâll hurt my brothers and sister. Iâm afraid of being a monster right out of a childrenâs story.â

Things wereâŠ
Weird. Crazy. Bizarre. And strangely, kind of nice.
It didnât really feel like old times again, and that was probably for the best, but it felt like something in between. It felt like the good times, those and far between moments of peace that they managed to have when they were kids. It felt like maybe, just maybe, everything could be alright.
He was sober, Five was back, he could make Ben solid - if heâd known what normal was, he might just say that things were going back to normal.
And then there was the end of the world, of course. They had to stop that from happening, that was pretty important. But overall, things were good. And really, he wasnât worried about the impending Apocalypse, Vanya hadnât meant to cause it, and now she knew what was going happen, now she knew how strong her powers were, and she was in a much better headspace.
Right?
He trusted her, he really did.
âFree food, some quality time with my sister - how could I say no?â He asked, offering her a bit of a joking smile. He was glad for the invitation, really - it was good for him to be out of the house, and honestly⊠They probably had a lot they needed to talk about. It was just a little weird, considering the fact that despite Vanya having grown up with them, he didnât feel like he knew her as well as he knew his other siblings.
It felt so strange to think about the fact that she was being included more now than she had been as a child by the family as a whole. It still made her feel like she hadnât belonged even with the knowledge that she did. That she hadnât been different. She hadnât been ordinary in a house of extraordinary. Sheâd always promised Grace sheâd be extraordinary one day. But, Grace had already known, she supposed.Â
She still felt like a stranger in her own home. But, things were slowly improving. She still didnât actually have control over her powers and... How would she be able to, other than to suppress them? She had caused to apocalypses and whose to say she wouldnât cause another?
Wasnât she always the cause of the apocalypse? Still, it was nice. Nice to be included and she didnât want to admit that she was starved for the attention.
âHow do you know Iâm paying for you?â She asked although she certainly didnât mean that she wasnât going to. She just wanted to get on his case about making assumptions. But, it had been fair enough. âIâm glad you agreed to come. I know we were never particularly close.â

While some of the others had moved out to do their own thing, unfortunately for Klaus he was still at home. The seance hummed as he played with the coiled rope of the telephone, wedging the rings between his fingers as he listened to her response. âOhh and I get to see your fancy little apartment again,â he purred happily. He really did want to see his sister and was excited to visit her,but to be more honest, Klaus was happier about getting out of the house. Luther was being more intolerable than usual, and Reginald wasâŠwell Reginald.
âEh, Iâm still bringing ice cream, if you wonât eat it, I will.â he said with a soft chuckle. âBut I might be bringing over your favorite so youâre very welcome to change your mind,â he added. âOh! You should let me paint your nails too,â he prompted. âWe can make it a girls night.â
It was strange that despite being on her own, Vanya wasnât being left alone. Perhaps absence truly did make the heart grow fonder? It was the only reasonable answer that Vanya could come up with that didnât include Klaus burglarising her apartment. While she wouldnât necessarily put that beyond his means, she wanted to imagine that wasnât why he was there. It made her happy to think that Klaus actually wanted to spend time with her.Â
âIt sounds more like youâre the one that doesnât want to be alone.â She said lightly, even though logically Klaus wouldnât be alone anyway. He still lived at the manor. Mom. Dad. Pogo. Luther. Well, that was that. âKlaus, I donât think it would be worth you wasting your time to paint my nails. I have to keep them short because I play a string instrument. Iâd just remove it anyway.â She admitted as she looked down at the counter near her phone. âBut, we can definitely have a night in.â
Hey guys, Iâm gonna be pretty quiet for a few days. Family emergency going on. Iâll be on discord and Iâll answer messages sent through IM.
You can reach me on Ben. Heâs logged on through my phone, while Vanya isnât.

@extra-ordinaryno7 | semi-plotted starter.
â You still want to believe them? That they love you? After what Luther did to us? After how they looked at us? â perhaps they loved Vanya, The White Violin couldnât doubt that. Or at least, they had at some point. But they hated her, they hated her power, they couldnât trust The White Violin. To them she was just a power of evil, a bomb, an end to all things. She didnât trust them. If they had the chance, theyâd rip her from Vanya in a heartbeat, and she fears Vanya would let them. â How can anyone love someone who canât love themselves? â no one can see her, only Vanya, the mirror image of herself, standing before her with those haunting eyes.Â
Itâs hard to deny herself, the vision before her is still herself, in one form or another. Itâs the version of her that caused the end of the world. The one that she wanted so desperately to lock back away, the one sheâd started taking her medication again to suppress. How could she let such raw, volatile, power go unchecked?Â
ââLuther thought he was doing what was necessary. That I was a danger.â Itâs acceptance to what happened, not that her brother didnât scare her. No, she was still terrified of Luther and couldnât be left alone in a room with him without spiraling into a panic attack.Â
âThey love me, they do. Iâm not alone anymore. Theyâre spending time with me and everything.â While that was true, they treated her like she was a fragile ticking time bomb. Something that could detonate at any moment and she didnât blame them.Â

How could she pretend that everything was okay? That she hadnât caused an apocalypse? It didnât sit well with her. Sheâd caused the apocalypse not once but, twice already and while her siblings had certainly not acted like it never happened, things were... Bizarre. That was the only way she could phrase it.Â
Klaus was getting clean. Allison was working on getting through court mandated therapy sessions and trying to get Claire back. Diego was... She didnât really know. She was still convinced that Diego hated her. But, he was also not actively telling her she didnât belong in the times she was at the manor when he, when everyone, was. Luther was loosening up. Five was still around. Ben was able to be seen.
Vanya hadnât touched her violin since she had woken up after Five had jumped back in time with them all and she felt like her siblings were treating her with kid gloves. That was why she had invited Klaus out to go get a bite to eat at a cafĂ©. It would allow her to ask him about it, if she could gather her thoughts into words without the hectic environment that came along with their siblings.Â
âThank you for joining me, Klaus.â She said as they walked along the sidewalk on the way to the cafĂ©.

@extra-ordinaryno7Â liked this post for a starter
It was nearing eight and it was one of the few times in the day that Reginald allowed the children leisure time. He had been in his room, flipping through a book idly when his stomach let out a soft groan. He was a growing teenager again, and it seemed that his pit of a stomach never was never satisfied.
The blonde decided he should probably go downstairs to grab something to eat and pried himself off of his bed. As he stepped into the kitchen, he hesitated as he had caught sight of his sibling kitchen table; they hadnât been alone together, not since he had attacked her. The teenager let out a small cough in his throat, hoping to not to disturb the young violinist. âHey Vanya,â he said in a quiet voice, as if he were standing next to someone on their death bed.
Vanya had been sitting peacefully at the kitchen table, she hadnât eaten quite enough at dinner. Being back on her medication had upset her stomach a bit and the knowledge of what sheâd done hadnât allowed her to feel comfortable with sitting at the table and eating with all of her siblings like they had done day in, day out as children. So, she had a sandwich in front of her and a glass of water.Â
She wasnât able to help it when she startled at the sound of a cough behind her and she turned her head to look over her shoulder, pushing her hair back with one hand. âHey Luther,â she responded, heart skipping a beat. She hadnât been alone in the same room with him since... Well, since heâd choked her into unconsciousness and locked her away.Â
