yeah I’ve always assumed he’s xivu’s kid that oryx is fostering, also to balance out all of savathun’s kids he’s fostering

I would love to see the lore & sibling discussions (if there even were any) that led to Oryx being the babysitter.

Is it just bc he’s the youngest? Did Savathun and Xivu Arath show up at his ship with armloads of rambunctious bad kids like “Yeah, yeah, you’re the Taken King, but we’re older so here. Watch these for a minute.”

Did he just. steal them? Did he get Concerned™ after his own stupid kids let murder-bots loose in his thronerealm and decide “Hey, maybe my sisters’ kids will be smarter, or at least easier to distract” and then just... waltzed over and grabbed ‘em, and if his sisters complained just countered with “Next time don’t leave your children unattended, stupid.”

it’s only the wolves and the nobles that believe now that paradise, once, had opened up…. unleashing a series of creatures almost lupine in quality, capable of deceit and hopes both. the realization of these creatures… these… ahamkara, splitting apart the nobles into factions, one fighting for the paradise they yearn for, the other fighting against it ever being opened again, frightened of these beings that were like nothing they’ve ever encountered before

these ahamkara whisper of promises and wishes, of paradise…

riven is one of those very ahamkaras, a being capable of shifting into any shape she wishes, whilst her old, ancient shape takes on that of a wolf’s shadow; a doppelganger, fitted with distortions that do not match that of any wolf ever known on the planet. she has since paired herself up with a pair of wolf siblings, who are intent on their task of gaining access to paradise but the road that they travel is fraught with danger, as accepting an ahamkara into one’s midst is like courting the very edges of darkness itself…

savathun and mara, eris and ikora?

Ah yes, the warring queens. Their fight becomes personal when Dûl Incaru is installed in the parts of the Ascendant Plane that lap up on the shores of the Dreaming City. Her own daughter–! Mara recognizes this as a gesture of both aggression and respect.

Eris and Ikora only become fonder with absence. Eris is disturbed by the whispers she hears in the Hidden network of Aunor’s destructiveness. Information is kept close, but sometimes Hidden tell one another things, and Eris is as surprised as the Guardian when Aunor goes rogue by both blowing up a building and making her work public to two of the Guardians. It’s sloppy. Eris holds her tongue. Ikora asks her for advice, one day, on not how to handle Aunor but how to remain calm and composed when the name of the Hidden is being whispered louder and louder in the Tower, more and more rumors and half-truths flying. Eris breaks a long silence to write. There are always whispers, she says. The challenge is to find out which must be ignored and which must be silenced. You can trust your Guardians even if they whisper. My whispers are less trustworthy, and I have found some solace even in them. Yet you are the keeper of the Hidden’s bylaws. If you do not hew to them, will the others?

IT'S A GOOD EPISODE FOR THAT... I tend to rewatch episode 1 to just. get overwhelmed with love

Honestly episode 1 is just such a masterpiece, it gets you invested in their little weird family so quickly, by the end of the episode I knew they would break me in the best kind of way

a song that reminds me of them: yonderboi - before you snap is like. a Big Lorne Mood tbh. it makes me think of the things he says to manipulate the ppl who make the mistake of listening to himwhat they smell like: as much as i love fanfic tropes like ‘oh he smells of pine and wet grass’ like... i think lorne’s scent is quite hard to place. he can’t wear strong scents because he necessarily needs to blend into the shadows and avoid detection. theres probably some gunmetal there though?an otp:

a notp: i have no standards or taste and i’ve shipped lorne with like, every major adult character in the show, im pretty sure. one that comes to mind that would be absolutely impossible for me to envision is like, lorne and ida? because oh my ogd he killed her fucking husband hahahafavorite platonic/familial relationships: lorne has no friends and has been estranged from his family (most of whom are dead) for decades... but i love the quips he deals with calamity joe. joe is like the cutest character and i wish we’d had more of him. also, not so much a platonic relationship as an absolute hell but his relationship with don is so disdainful that it’s honestly a joy to beholda headcanon that is popular in the fandom but that i disagree with: i mean the only one that comes to mind is like, lorne exclusively topping? lm A O the position they sleep in: lorne sleeps on his sidea crossover au i’d love to see them in: i’ve had this idea for the longest time about an au in which a young lorne going through med school encounters hannibal lecter (the mads hannibal, but transported back in time) for mandatory psychological evaluation/therapy owing to some Concerns he has attracted. one day i’ll get the time to research and write it hahamy favorite outfit they’ve ever worn: this specific outfit is just fucking GOALS, that layering. unf

mordra!

Mordra has 7 outfits. 3 he actually wears.

He dresses like potatoes.

Outfit 1: 5 shades of unshapely brown. 

 If I could put the hood down this work be Mord’s everyday outfit. What he wears as he Jedis around the galaxy. It’s also his incognito outfit for when he doesn’t want to be noticed. It’s very loose and coozy. Very Jedi. It may look like a potato sack but it’s great for non battle service work. 

outfit 2: Jedi robes

This outfit is Mord’s version of casual clothes/robes. It’s what he likes to wear around his ship and Tython. It looks a lot of Orgus Din’s outfit. Mordra looked up to him and sort of feels he supposed to take his place now that his master is dead. Mordra is always to trying to prove and show he is a good Jedi. but the outfit is pretty cozy and light. When Mordra is wearing this he’s usually relaxed. He probably takes off the top layer and sleeps in it.

Outfit 3: Battle armor

This is Mord’s armor. What he wear into battle and conflicts. It looks very Jedi but it’s armor up to his neck. He ended up wearing this a lot. The point of this outfit is function in battle and “I promise I’m a Jedi” added by the robe. He should really get a helmet.

Mordra probably has better fashion sense then this but he tends to shy away from things he likes.  So he lives in brown. He doesn’t worry about what he looks like much anymore. He’s “let go of his vanity”.

but re: mockingjay at the time i was like “this really does not need to be split into two movies” but to this day i am kind of in love with mockingjay pt. 1 as this weirdly quieter, introspective, poignant revolution movie that stands out so much from all the ya movies of the era

are there any older fandoms or characters that you might one day revisit or try out?

this is... kind of difficult, because at this point, a lot of my older fandoms have some associates with people or times in my life that were difficult, and so looking back on those fandoms... isn’t super pleasant. but uh lets see

uhh maybe if i have a strong dragon age phase again when the new one comes out (someday??) ill get back into that. i used to do dragon age rp, actually! i rped a version of hawke that i was really fond of. i... dont know if id rp her again, but she does have a soft spot in my heart. a few of my sparklewolf or dragon ocs are revamps of dragon age ocs

hmm... i can’t really say there were any anime characters that weren’t either 1) uncomfortable fandoms for me now 2) kind of weird and uncomfortable characters in retrospect or 3) from canons that might make other people uncomfortable. bye bye, like 10 years of my life

oh, metal gear! i briefly dabbled in playing some MGSV characters. most notable quiet, but... quiet is such a mess, the poor thing. id want to play her right on a site like denny, but i dont know if i have it in me to really figure out a proper way to do her character the justice she was denied. but maybe the MGS mood will hit me again. oh! i considered playing blade wolf from MGR for a while, i might replay that and consider. his whole thing was that he was a robot dog who wanted freedom and agency. ive always liked him

in some ways warcraft is an old reclaimed fandom, but... whether or not i ever app from it depends. ive got my eye on some canons and some ocs. 

maybe someday ill rewatch rogue one a bunch and feel comfortable interacting with star wars much and actually app jyn like i thought about way back when. maybe someday. 

also of course: theres a homestuck character i could pick up again in a heartbeat, but. homestuck. i don’t wanna inflict that on people. sometimes it’s best to let sleeping homestucks lie.
