While I don't think every gugak-contemporary music fusion works as well, my appreciation for traditional Korean music always welcomes these attempts at blending. nuMori's been at it for many singles now and though not every song nails it, I'm grateful they keep at it.

I'm really liking all the Korean indie groups experimenting with fusing modern genres with traditional Korean music like nuMori (누모리) here on their track "구나구나" (GunaGuna), which blends pansori vocals and double janggus with rock guitar and groovy synths.
