Why has healthcare become so business like and not patient centered? People go to their doctors office because they are sick and don't feel good or they are going to follow up on their health care but the clinic staff greet them as if the patient is a nuisance and don't listen. Then you have the doctors that have only 15 minutes to discuss everything so they don't listen to the patients concerns or needs. The bedside manner has gone down in such a way that it hurts to see my patients not get the care they need. I wanted to be a nurse so I could help in any way possible and if that means I have to advocate for them I will.
