Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! We will be posting acceptances in 10 minutes and thus the submission has been closed until then. We will also be conducting a points check later today. Happy Wednesday and good luck to all our applicants!
And that marks this week’s acceptances! Thank you again for waiting for this! We really do appreciate how long it has taken - your patience has not gone unnoticed. As such, to apologize for how long this has taken, on a once off, all new characters accepted this round will be granted 50 complimentary points. Please remember to update your description with your new points! Also be sure to go to the checklist before you send in your account. Thank you, everyone!
Acceptances will be posted approximately one hour from now, GMT+11! If you have a last minute application to send in, please do! Otherwise thank you for your patience, and hopefully see you on the dash soon.
Regarding the status of acceptances. We have received multiple messages over the past few days about what’s going to happen with acceptances and when they will be held. One anonymous message was particularly rude and thus prompted us to write this post rather than respond to every individual ask with the same answer.
The whole admin team is extremely sorry for the delay in acceptances. As stated in previous posts, we’ve been working to figure out a point during the week that could be a permanently fixed time to hold acceptances, to ensure that they are consistent and reliable for everyone applying. We have come up with a solution that will implement measures that make the acceptance process simpler for the admin team. This includes a general "accepted" graphic over individualized graphics.
It is important to note that we are not a fast-paced group. We are here for people with real lives, with real commitments. This extends to the admin team. We would also like to emphasise that we are not deliberately stalling acceptances to inconvenience anyone hoping to join us here. We are doing our best, but we don’t want to tease anyone with vague posts or answers when they have recently been made.
Once again, we are extremely sorry for any frustration that this is causing anyone, and we understand that it is frustrating. We don’t enjoy keeping you guys waiting, all we ask is that you’re a little more patient with us.
This brings me on to two more points:
Whilst we do understand the frustration over the lack of updates regarding acceptances, there is absolutely no need to send us such rude messages about it. What we do not want is to give out a time and date for acceptances that we can’t stick to and cause more confusion and delays. We are, again, very sorry, and empathise with how you may feel about the situation. Thank you for your patience.
Most importantly, we want to thank all our current members for keeping the dash going at such a fantastic rate. You guys are our backbone, we cannot even begin to express how lucky we feel to have such fantastic writers in this group! Keep it up - you’re doing us proud and we love and appreciate you all.

There we have it! Another week, another marvelous round of acceptances. Our next acceptances will take place on 11/03, GMT+11, which is one week from now. You will also note that our next point call will be held at the same time. New members must read our checklist before sending in their account.

After checking in with Admin H, acceptances will be taking place 02/03 at approximately 6PM, GMT+11 which, by my count, gives any interested applicants a little less than eight hours to submit. Hopefully that will be plenty of time for anyone out there still trying to finish up!
Along with acceptances will be our next activity warning, followed by another happening now post, as well as prompt suggestions that players can use in self-paras. (And, a reminder that under the current challenge, self-paras earn you extra points!) So keep an eye out for all of those things, and keep up the excellent work on the dash. All of the admins are so excited about what we’ve been seeing!

On another note, I have noticed writers making posts about wanted plots/trading goods/and so on. That is such a fantastic idea! I think it keeps everything neat and tidy, and it works excellently for plotting purposes. If anything ever happens to your character - like finding a partner, for example - please make a status update post. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy: it’s just letting everyone know that your character has changed subtly. Thanks very much!
That marks the round-up for this fortnight period! Thank you to all new members for applying and welcome to the group. Please make sure you take heed of the checklist prior to sending in your account.
Remember to update your points if you have not already done so! Additionally, new members should have a look at the happening now post for plot ideas and a sense of the current world state. A new post will be made in the next fortnightly period. I also want to touch on in-character partnerships. I really encourage you to go out and make small IC groups of 2-3 characters. That is a huge part of how this group can progress and remain dynamic. It is also imperative for plotting purposes. If you are struggling to find someone to write with, form a partnership! Everything is here for you to explore absolutely any aspect of your characters. You just need to make it happen.
Lastly, I need to make some important announcements regarding changes to the group:
Replies no longer have a word count minimum. I encourage you to write rapid-fire replies (i.e. a paragraph long) in order to progress threads swiftly. We are still, of course, highly literate, so rapid-fire threads should be written alongside longer, meatier threads.
Model faceclaims will hereafter be permitted.
I have two new co-admins! I am very pleased to announce that Jess @maksvoloshyn and Roman @theghostnikita will be joining my team. You know them both as very talented writers and prominent members in this group, so I am so excited to have them by my side as co-admins. All other interested parties have been notified.
