i think because BG is so charming and personable on social media that people forget the shit she went through in russia.
they used her to gain political leverage. she had to cut her locs cuz it froze from the cold. she had to cut her t shirts and use them to clean herself cuz they didn’t provide toilet paper for months at a time. they put her in a cell that was too small for her height. they made her strip and took photos of her in a men’s prison and tried to put her in with men because of her natural size which she has said she had to deal with her whole life. she was given toothpaste that was so expired they used it to get rid of the mold in the walls. she was physically and mentally abused. they would trash her room. she contemplated unaliving herself.
and she comes back with people shitting on her cuz they didn’t think her life was worth the trade. people shitting on her because of her physical looks or her voice. now people are shitting on her cuz of her choice to be called pops when she should be celebrating bringing life onto this world.
y’all can have yalls opinions on this but REGARDLESS if you look at BG and make jokes about her experience you are morally disgusting. and your willingness to trade being a decent human for a stranger you never met or a couple laughs on the internet has made you cruel. just saying.
