HELLO EVERYBODY i somehow wrote a reasonably sized fic for once (16k words). Somewhat less reasonably i wrote it in 9 days somehow haha.

more nwnp lore that i never found a place to put: after ratchet and bee talk about bee's old team in kmds, ratchet suspects (given the descriptions of the team members that bee gives kind of paints them as rule-breakers/rebels/formerly unsavory characters) that the autobot government had them killed or disappeared after/because of bee's death. like, either he was the only thing keeping them safe, or they were blamed/scapegoated for his death

#wish rambles #nwnp #also idk if i made it clear. but the reason bee doesn't name his friends is bc he doesn't know shit about their counterparts #if he says. for example. “my good friend sideswipe”#he doesn't know if ratchet will go “hey. i know sideswipe. he never mentioned you/isn't like that/can't have done those things”#and then he'd have a lot of explaining to do #but he knows grimlock's counterpart now! and it's a weird enough situation that a coincidentally shared name is plausible #so he can say “my friend's name was grimlock” and have ratchet understand why he's been fucked up for the last month or whatever

This never made it into the fic, but in Keep Moving Death's Shadow, Optimus catches Bee going into Prowl's room that one time and 100% assumes there's something going on there (he just can't figure out if it's currently dating, broke up immediately after this, on and off again, friends with benefits, or some other unhinged thing he can't even think of because those two are already so goddamn weird-)
