NWSC saga.Ngei II is entitled to water ration Sunday evening to Tue morning.

Lately the water was being opened Monday evening at low pressure we thought its blocked pipes or air lock.

In effect by the Tuesday morning residents start ordering from water bowsers ie by 10 am four trucks have already offf loaded.

This Tuesday we took NWSC head on even had a news segment on Citizen radio. Guess what.

The distribution team came yesterday and we had a heated meeting which also ended on a cool note.

The same evening we get water at maximum pressure filling up all storage no need to pump.

This is the Kenya we live in, entrenched cartels. No new infrastructure no change in the pipes …water just flowed.

We have like 350 houses. NWSC bill average 500. A water bowser costs like 3,000 for 5000/6000 ltrs.

Quick maths NWSC receives about 175,000 per month from the houses.

Water paid for bowser supplied water 4,200,000.00 now you know why cartels thrive… I Thought you should know!

NSA Crane

Here is some of the railroad equipment at Naval Support Activity Crane, which is located in southern Indiana. The Indiana University Railroad Club was able to tour the facilities (and allowed to take pictures).

NSA Crane is a United States Navy installation, with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division being its chief tenant (source). The acronyms have changed over the years, I gather, with NWSC painted on the locomotives at that time—which stood for Naval Weapons Support Center.

The locomotives are intriguing: while the base had the very interesting Alco MRS-1s at some point (perhaps after these images were made), I had to make due with a batch of Baldwins. I believe these models are the VO-1000.

Four images by Richard Koenig; taken in 1975 or 1976 I believe, with one engine and a couple of heavy weight passenger cars painted up for the bicentennial.
