Tatum Paxley is doing some of the best character work in NXT. Just in this segment alone, everything is a narrative choice: coming out with a mascara stained face, greasy hair, on the verge of anger and tears... she's doing work that makes it clear what the story they're trying to tell is for a first-time viewer, yet it's enough for a weekly viewer to want to dig deeper and root for her.
