          quick supply run, not even that far out, && then he can be back right away with the team. they know exactly where he’s going, && they know exactly--- okay, they know ROUGHLY how long it should take for him to complete the task on hand. if he’s not back when he should be, they’ll come for him. but even with all the reassurances, Ellis still feels like this is a plot to get him AWAY for however long possible. maybe they all want him dead, too.

          the moment he thinks this, Ellis frowns hard && tries to get his mind off that negativity— he would sing, but he’s still outside.the store is close, he’s almost there, but still. filling the silence would help.

          he steps through the shattered glass door, glancing around && listening closely-- he doesn’t hear anything. the country boy breathes a sigh of relief, glad to be safe, but he still steps as tentatively as is possible over the broken glass && strewn shelf items.

          he’s moving around the corner of a shelf still loaded with stuffed animal toys when he DEFINITELY hears something move. his gun lifts, && he points, already shaking as he calls out a firm, ❛ who’s there? ❜

Andi was NOT , in fact , alone in that grocery store , because she had not only just killed several flesh eaters trying to pick her brain ( GET IT ? ) , but she had also just stumbled upon another living , breathing human being , and she couldn’t decide which one she was LESS excited to see . Her golf club was close to her side , held in her hand tightly , while brow raised at the other woman . AH , PEOPLE . They’d always had been monsters , it just took the end of the world to SEE IT .

The ROOF might work as an acceptable escape route , but then again , Andi was ever so slightly afraid of heights , enough to make her RECONSIDER . Lips pursed in decision , mouth opening and closing a few times to try to regain a sense of words . What the FUCK was she going to do ?
