Yet again, Jelani Sinclair never ceases to amaze. He continues to nurture the minds, hearts, and ears of his listeners with his newest ear-candy, "Talk To Me". Releasing both track and visual on the same date, Jelani takes us to a vulnerable place; a place of pure honesty, anxiety, and nostalgia. The hazy synth/bass sample, kick homogeneous to an uneasy heartbeat, and thunderclap of a snare, creates the perfect tension to Jelani's mental conversation. By the end of the track, every "talk to me" serves as a desperate outcry. This outcry isn't necessarily out loud but, from within...begging for something that he already knows will not happen. Shot by the also very talented Sienna J (his sister), the visual accentuates the track. No story-line, no extras, no scenery...just Jelani. With a combination of extreme close-ups, shoulder shots, slow zoom ins, tense movement, and shadows, we are engrossed for every second of the 2 minutes and 30 sec. clip. "Talk To Me" leaves you wanting more.
