a surprise birthday gift that took a while to ship, but has arrived and KRESNA
It is dangerous to ever say you want anything around Kresna, because no matter how crazy, he just finds a way to make it happen- this thing is huge and insane that he got it for me but goddddd thank youuuuuu
also man I swear I nicknamed a Mareep once in a Pokemon game but I can’t remember what it was (I don’t normally nickname Pokemon but I think I did it once?) I thought it was Daedalia or Daedalus but I know I had a Chikorita I named Daedalia ages ago so hmmm
also I probably posted this a while ago but shout outs to these pokemon in particular, but man it’s no contest mareep is the biggest friend and goddddd can finally rep that mareep life
finally got a bookshelf into my apartment (aka my old dying collection-of-sticks one instead of affording a new one from ikea or something) and so after two months of living here finally got some stuff on display
also might be lowkey bragging about some figures I ordered early this year before money became super super tight (and I’ve made a commitment to get all the FFIX figures even if it breaks bank so rip me, can’t resist the eiko and kuja temptations)
now just need a place to put a tv to play more F-Zero GX (listen I need to unlock everyone’s secret movie okay)
HE BY SOME MIRACLE MANAGED TO ACQUIRE THE MY MELO SQUIDS, ALL THREE OF THEM (he also got me another Hobonichi Planner and those coaster things that came with the Squids~ Also the hat his Cinnamoroll is wearing)
MERRY CHRISTMASSSSSSS
so my Christmas was an experience let me tell you
so basically like, Kresna decided to come visit for Christmas instead of me visiting him (it didn’t help that I still haven’t gotten a passport whoops), so bam, got it set at work, Friday night into Christmas Day, great
then Wednesday comes around and I have an awful headache and then the night comes and I am dead and throwing up and shivering and having a bunch of delusions that I’m still having at 4AM every night (first night was that SSBUltimate Mysterious Dimension map I had just beaten right before bed and being lost and it spinning in my head over and over until I threw up several times), then I was bedridden and immobile for Thursday and Friday (aka days I promised to work since the store owner’s out of town and she gave me Saturday and Sunday off) and so I had to call off and felt terrible
of course my house has no medicine and no one feels bothered to get medicine so I was legit feeling like I was going to die from this flu several times, slept absolutely not at all and overall was dead (did not get the flu shot this year like a scrub whoops) also funfact I haven’t had the flu since I was a kid and so this is the first time I’ve been really sick in quite some time and it was hell
then Friday comes and still bedridden, can’t even clean up for Kresna’s arrival, and then barely make it outside to greet him and then he took care of me and gave me medicines constantly and was overall the greatest (he even made sure to take precautions to make sure he wouldn’t get sick before arriving and then had to take precautions to make sure he didn’t get sick while here, so far so good amazingly for him)
by some miracle today I’m almost better (I can at least move normally again, Saturday I was completely bedridden still), and throughout his stay we played AND beat EDF on PS2 (aka “Global Defence Force” thanks European version, mostly on Normal or higher, the Gaist 2 is my best friend and you can’t convince me otherwise unless there’s a Gaist 3 or greater), and also Katamari on Switch (it’s fun but feels more unforgiving for co-op and will make a post about it later like I was asked to) he also lit up my world and by that I mean decorated my bedroom with christmas lights and aaaaaaa so many other wonderful things
let us take a moment to remember all those frames we lost that day, that day(s) we played EDF... may those frames drop in peace
I ALSO TRIED PANCAKES FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THEY WERE OKAY/10 but I was too nauseous to finish them (also I cooked something for the first time with his help and deep fried banana fritters for him, even though bananas are awful, awful foods)
so yeah Christmas and Kresna got me this and aaaaaa and he just left about an hour ago and aaaaaaaaaaa he’s the bestttttttttttt
edit: also the plushes are very soft and good
also he got me a PS2 harddrive and other things and aaaaaaa
heck yeah got that hit new game for the Switch that came out yesterdayyyy
debating starting it now or waiting for Kresna
also got Smash too I guess
Smash is weird, the artstyle looks neat at first but the Unreal-ish models (at least for characters like Marth) mixed in with the jarring cel-shaded particle effect things is weird, it also has weird load times at times like when choosing character alts, like it hangs or something, it’s weird (also whyyyyy remove saving character palettes to a name, why must the 3DS version be the only one that does this, it was so convenient)
also like mannnn I dislike the menu once again with this game, Brawl was perfect, why ruin it, why make it so complicated to get me to the character I want to play as
gameplay itself is alright but solo playing isn’t really doing much for me, definitely more of a play-with-friends game
also world of light is okay, neat concept, but feels like the slowest way to unlock characters since the challengers won’t appear until after you leave that mode, at least I got all my favorites early on somehow
still need a few more (aka Roy/Dedede/Luigi) but otherwise I got everyone here
godddd I am spoiled (also the card was from his boss~ I’m known as Flower or as PeanutButter where he works)
other gifts received include a Jirachi plush as well as chocolate/peanut butter/gift card from a friend, and a purple-ly thing of purple and paper from another friend
time to reread My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness and then finally read My Solo Exchange Diary (it’ll be the first manga I’ve read physically before digitally/scans in years)
