Being best friends ever since Sayaka could remember, it was no wonder that it was as if she knew everything about Haruna, and it would be no wonder as well if it was the same with the idol. The two basically spent majority of their time together, speaking idly about whatever topic would pop out in their mind and laughing about the dumbest things. Being with Haruna had always been the highlight of Sayaka’s day, and because of that, it was no wonder that she’d fallen for the girl as well.

But of course, her falling in love with Haruna had happened long before they even knew each other—-it was a ‘love at first sight’ for Sayaka, and it sounded oh so cliched and lame that the bartender (still in training at that time) had wanted to throw herself off of a cliff and drown in the ocean.

She first saw the tall model-esque beauty while out on an errand for the bar, to buy a few bottles of alcohol only to be reminded she couldn’t because of her age once she stood in front of the store. Refusing to give up, she approached the nearest person she could find to ask if they could buy it for her and surprise, surprise, the girl was no other than Haruna. Sayaka would always shudder each time she remember how her face immediately turned red when she saw how beautiful Haruna was and God, don’t make her mention about the tingling in her chest when she heard her say “Yes?” once she got her full attention.

The bartender-in-training had always been grateful for Haruna since then, the older having agreed to get her the liquors if she would tell her the name of the bar she worked in and although it was the last thing she expected to happen, Haruna began on visiting the place whenever she found the chance to. And Sayaka really, really loved those moments where Haruna was sitting down on one of the stools at the other side of the counter, while Sayaka stood before her, either making her a drink or listening to her talk about work.

At the same time, however, the short-haired’s heart would sink more and more whenever Haruna mentioned about her job. About how she was in the entertainment industry, about how she was an actress and an idol and how she was slowly climbing up to fame because—-well because, it was but a huge slap on Sayaka’s face that she could never bring herself to say how she felt about the elder. About the way her heart would race just from the sight of the idol’s face, about how sometimes her throat runs dry trying to come up with replies and it just… It just hurt.
