NYC City Proof
I received a sample of NYC’s City Proof eyeshadow crayon in Wall Street Bronze from a sampling company. At first I believed it to be a lip crayon, so I used it on my lips. The color was a bit odd on my lips, but it actually felt rather nice. Next I used it on my eyelids without primer and it stayed for around three hours. The color was nice with my green eyes, as well. Over all I’d say this is a great product for the price.
NYC Waterproof Creme Eyeshadow Stick
I got the Brooklyn Mocha NYC eyeshadow complimentary from Influenster for reviewing purposes. I tried it out and really liked how surprisingly well it stayed in place and the natural shimmer it gave to my eyelid. I am light and have a slight yellow undertone, so I think it may look different on different complexions, but seems like it would be a flattering color on anyone! Due to some technical difficulties, I will have to post my picture later.
Overall, I enjoy and would recommend the product even though I prefer powder shadows and natural products. Thanks again Influenster.
Influenster VoxBox Review
The following products I received completely complimentary through influenster to test and review. These opinions however are completely my own. Influenster is a company that will send you samples of products free of charge to your house as long as you review them and follow the rules. You must do each individual task following the hashtags accordingly. Influence on social media and how you live your life plays a role into the boxes you may get. You do not always get a box but, you will get one eventually. After signing up, I reviewed a couple items I had recently bought and got an email saying I was eligible for the blossom voxbox. Shipping time wasn’t too long, it came about 11 days later. Upon opening my box, everything was packaged very neatly and organized well. There was a card explaining each product to me. First thing I tried was the Nasoya Zero Calorie Noodles. These were absolutely delicious. I mixed some alfredo sauce in with them after draining and ate them along side some carrots for lunch. Definitely something I would buy myself. Next up was the Bear Naked Granola. I got 2 bags of this, however one bag contained ingredients of APPLEs and with my allergy too apples I couldn’t try that. The coconut almond was amazing with yogurt though. The Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs I was nervous to try because I heard stories of it turning you orange. However, I tried it. It went on smoothly and was not as messy as I thought it would be. My hands were slightly orange (which did wash off with some scrubbing) but my legs looked amazing. Next to try was the Hair Food Root Cleansing Shampoo. I tried it a couple times before forming my opinion. My scalp is pretty tricky and became very dry with this shampoo. Perhaps it’s just because I do have naturally dry scalp to begin with. This specific product just wasnt for me. Then there was the Beanitos Chipotle BBQ Black Bean Chips and the Beanitos Original Black Bean with Salt Chips. I prefer the latter. The chipotle was a bit too spicy for my liking but it was still delicious! These chips are perfect for a snack! My favorite product had to be the Australian Gold Lotion Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30. As a natural fair skinned red head I burn way too easily. I spent 8 hours at the beach on an 89 degree day and didn’t have an ounce of sunburn on me thanks to this product. Job well done! Finally, NYC New York Color City Proof 24HR Eye Shadow. Odd being packaged in a stick however, it works. It didn’t last as long as it says. It probably lasted about 6 hours before I had to reapply but it still went on smoothly and looked amazing so I still give it props! Overall, I’m highly satisfied with the blossom voxbox! I thank Influenster for providing me with such great products complimentary.
Final Review of #BlossomVoxBox
Overall I was very pleased with this spring’s BlossomVoxBox, even though it took me forever to post a review! The box was received in good timing and it felt sort of like a care package at school!
My favorite products I tried out were the NYCCityProof Eye Shadow Pencil, Beanitos Original Chips, and AirbrushPerfectLegs with Sally Hansen. I was really impressed by these three products and they stood up above the others.
As I said in my review for the NYCCityProof Eyeshadow Pencil, I was really impressed with the easiness of using the tool and how nice it ended up looking when I was done. I would definitely buy this product again, and so far it has been the most simple make up tool I have ever used. I look forward to using it again in the future!
The Beanitos chips were actually pretty delicious. I like black beans and they are a staple in my diet, but I have never had them in chip form. The Original chips with Sea Salt actually tasted kind of like the blue tortilla chips they sell from Aldi’s, and had a black bean aftertaste. The chipotle bbq chips were also pretty good, and my dad enjoyed those alot. I usually don’t like super spicy food, but it was pretty delicious. I was also impressed to learn it was vegan, all natural, trans fat free, corn free and more! I believe I counted at least twelve diet symbols on the back! It truly was #allthatinabagofchips!
AirbrushPerfectLegs made me feel like a model for the short time I wore it! The product was simple to use and came on and off easy, but didn't smudge or leave any stains. My skin did look smoother and had that suntanned look models in the commercials usually do. It made me want to get out in the sun more!
HairFood was a little difficult to review, because on the day I happened to use it my hair dried out because it was humid outside, which was a huge bummer. I did have my family try it to and they were impressed. While I was in the shower I did feel my scalp being cleaned with those little tingles and it definitely smelt delicious after! I will have to try it again sometime soon. My hair is also super picky and doesn’t like shampoo that much.
The BearNaked snacks were also pretty good. The flavors were interesting but it might have been more spicy than I would have liked. It was definitely a filling and natural snack and I have alot of friends who would love stuff like that. Overall it was a good snack!
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with NasoyaPastaZero. I was a little startled to open my box and find a bubble-wrapped package of wet noodles! I believe my fifteen year old brother described it as looking like wet brains, which made me more hesitant to try it. I like the concept of the noodles, but the execution was not the best. Not my favorite product out of all of them.

#NYCCityProof Review
One of the other products I received in my #BlossomVoxBox was a Waterproof Eye shadow pencil from #NYCCityProof.
I will admit, at first I was hesitant to try it. I have used waterproof make-up in the past and it always smudged before I could finish painting my face. With this, the eye shadow can be drawn on just like you were coloring in a coloring book. The tip is soft so it doesn't hurt when you press down and it comes off clean without smudging. To test it, I did touch it and I was impressed to find that it didn’t feel wet, it felt dry! It didn’t even look like I had used a pencil to color in my eyelids. I would definitely use this again, and maybe explore more colors. The color I received was sort of a mix between purple and gray but it ended up looking really nice. I would definitely use this when I was on the go or running out of time to apply make up. I am thoroughly impressed by this product and I am excited to use it again! I will post pictures of how the eye shadow looked on me shortly!

NYC CITY PROOF
I love my NYC city proof eye shadow. I wear it daily. I love that it is so easy to put on and it's fast. It's easy to make it perfect. I hate traditional eye shadow because I can never get it exactly how I want it but with the pencil eye shadow it is so much easier. I use it for daily life and I use it when going to parties. You can make it work with any type of event.
I received NYC New York Color Cityproof 24 hr waterproof eye shadow in my Blossom Voxbox from Influenster. I really like the color which is Brooklyn Mocha, and how easy it is to use. It lasted all day, and didn't accumulate in the crease or end up under my eyes, which is what happens when I use powder eye shadow. I will definitly be purchasing some other colors, and at $2.99 each, why not!
