These words by Jake are very enlightening, reassuring and they give a great sense of relief. I was struggling previously for not being able to get into my dream university, having missed it out narrowly. When I heard these from Jake in an interview with Eric Nam (Jay was also present) when they were asked if they ever felt like giving up during the career.

Keeping things light and not making any dream our life is not a bad idea, while giving our best efforts.

This was the answer given by Jake in the interview '25 questions with 25ans' when asked 'What's your secret of always looking cool?'.

Not only does this answer sound cool but also it gives a burst of slight excitement and relief to the people like me who are lacking confidence and striving to build the same. When I tried executing this simple yet great trick in my imagination....ie., instantly convincing and deciding that I'm cool, and later putting my self in imaginative scenarios thinking that I'm around people, I did instantly feel better, confident and light. It did thus give me instant results!
