What’s So Scary About a Woman’s Breast?
You know,
It’s really quite strange--
Just between us,
That something so natural
Should cause such a fuss
To make grown adults
React out of fear
And yell out in shocked voices
“No, not that! Not right here!”
It’s high time we asked,
If I may suggest,
Just what’s so darn scary
About a woman’s breast?
A mother is busy
The job’s never done
Let’s not make it harder
To feed her little one
Imagine if dads
Fed babies post-womb.
Our whole city would be
One big lactation room
Thanks to the leaders
Who know what women need
The mothers of NYC
Are always free to feed
To all those searching
For breastfeeding space
In New York you can do it
Any time, any place.
