Here we are once again, at the end of the year and preparing for a new one. Many thought this year was going to be different from the last when it comes to the pandemic, but we are still going through it. As I reflect on 2021, I am glad that I was able to put politics, religion, and conspiracy theories aside to focus on the science revolving to the pandemic and I am proud that I decided to put my health and everybody else's health first. I feel that those who took part in protecting themselves and others by getting vaccinated took an important and caring step in trying to get through this pandemic. 2021 wasn't bad, though. Aside from a few mini vacations, my family members reuniting again, and friendships getting stronger, I found a special someone who turned my world upside down and has taught me to be a caring and loving person. My cat family got bigger as we welcomed Ares and Luka into my home. I started a new position at work and even though it has been stressful, it has also been a blessing because I have learned so much, and it opened my mind to what I want to do next in my career. This leads to my other accomplishment, which is that I decided to go back to school for my masters in educational counseling. 2022 has a lot of possibilities and adventures for me, and I am excited to experience every single one of them with the people who were there for me this year: my family, my friends and my boyfriend. I wish everybody a happy new year! Be safe out there and stay healthy! God bless every single one of you. #NYEHike #Reflection #Love #Goodbye2021 #Hello2022 #StaySafe #GetVaccinated (at Signal Hill - Hilltop Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CYK9FMwlPtU/?utm_medium=tumblr
