New York Fries & Dips (NYFD) is enterting 2019 with a brand new look and design that will be propelling it towards the future. Regular patrons of NYFD will be in for a delightful surprise with the big transformation of their go-to snack bar this year. The Hungry Kat was invited to the media launch of NYFD’s rebranding last January 25, 2019 at the Fisher Mall which not just included exciting games and activities, it also came with a movie experience made more filling with NYFD’s new poutine fries.
Bannering an overall contemporary look with an improved brand logo and newly designed store interiors, NYFD also introduces its strengthened brand culture that is anchored on customer-oriented service and continuous product innovations. Guests were welcomed at the Fisher Mall event center on the fourth floor, just beside the new Fisher Mall VIP Cinemas. It was a Friday afternoon and everyone was ready to TGI Fry-Day!
NYFD is a local concept which started in 2003 but with the glamour and culture of New York City. They initially offered only fries and dips, but has now expanded to more items to accompany your cinema and snacking experience. With over 10 branches nationwide, the new and improved NYFD offers a unique store experience, indulging customers with their food cravings and making their stay as convenient and comfortable as possible.
Aside from the different NYFD Fries stations around the venue, guests were also treated to a variety of games. The top three players of each game will get to win prizes from NYFD. There was also an Instagram contest giving away one year’s worth of NYFD fries!
Also joining the event were the executives of the Fredley Group of Companies, owner of NYFD, and its Chief Executive Officer Mr. Avin Ong (rightmost). The company has decided to rebrand NYFD because they want to strengthen the brand’s identity and present the high quality of their products and services in a new light. They are also opening the brand for franchising, and are planning to roll out 100 branches within the year. Fred the Mascot definitely approves of this.
NYFD only uses imported handcut U.S. Potatoes in all of its products, giving it the topmost quality. The finger-sized strips are then cooked golden brown in trans-free pure canola oil making them the healthier and tastier fast food appetizer and snack alternative.
NY Fries come in varying bucket sizes for any appetite. They can be topped with chili, bacon, or gravy, and even served spicy or cheesy. The fries are great by themselves, but are best when dunked in their all-natural recipe dips such as the Honey Mustard, Garlic Parmesan, Ranch, Bacon Onion Tomato, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
NYFD also introduced one of their new items, the Loaded Poutine Fries. These are not just your typical fries because they come loaded with toppings and ingredients.
Some variants of the Poutine Fries included the Takoyaki Fries, and the Loaded Fries topped with beef or ground pork with cheese. These are best eaten inside the cinemas with a bottle of SIP Purified Water.
Guests were also free to try the various NYFD booths offering Thick Cut fries, Shoestring Fries, Loaded Fries, and more. A short video presentation was also presented showing the history of the brand and its new theme and concept.
After a short cooking demonstration showing how the Poutine Fries are made and assembled, the host announced the winners of the games and contests. The basketball game winners went home with NYFD caps and shirts, while the Instagram winners got a year supply of monthly NYFD fries.
But that’s not all, because right after the event, the guests were then treated to a private movie screening of Once Upon a Daredevil inside the beautiful Fisher Mall VIP Cinemas.
With my NYFD fries in hand, I got to watch the movie in my own relaxing leather seat. This is the best combination you can possibly have - a great movie, plush seats, and a bucket of NYFD poutine fries. Thank you NYFD for providing this unique event experience and watch out for a lot more new NYFD branches coming your way soon.
