Age: 23 Height: 8 feet Bio: Nymphae is a fish ender that lives off in a mostly uninhabited mangrove swamp, mostly keeping to herself due to her lack of company. She mainly stays in the water, but is able to breath air as long as the air is humid. Despite her being seemingly shy and quiet, Nymphae is incredibly curious about newcomers and whatever they might bring with them.

Il nudo e la fruzione privata delle immagini ne ha caratterizzato il valore erotico fin dai primi usi della fotografia. La rielaborazione di fotografie dei primi del Novecento resta legata all’idea di referente come parte compresente dell’immagine fotografica: senza la contemporaneità di soggetto e oggetto dello scatto, non si avrebbe fotografia. La componente relazionale costituisce dunque un presupposto per l’esistenza della fotografia stessa, come la presenza della luce, nei suoi diversi gradi. “Nymphae”, termine che nella mitologia greca si riferiva a divinità inferiori della natura, condivide la radice che riporta al “velare”, al coprirsi il capo e il volto in ambito nuziale. Il velo è trasformato in materia vivente, in quanto sono oggetti organici i fiori e i materiali che coprono il volto delle donne mostrate e a loro volta rielaborate dall’intelligenza artificiale di Nicola Buttari, che le interpreta in illustrazione tra antico e contemporaneo.
