Name: Nymphae Sex/Gender: She/Her Species: Swamp/Fish Enderman Sexuality: ??? Age: 23 Height: 8 feet Bio: Nymphae is a fish ender that lives off in a mostly uninhabited mangrove swamp, mostly keeping to herself due to her lack of company. She mainly stays in the water, but is able to breath air as long as the air is humid. Despite her being seemingly shy and quiet, Nymphae is incredibly curious about newcomers and whatever they might bring with them.

Forbidden Fruit

"I entered a forbidden wood, and the Nymphae and half-goat god bolted from my sight. If any knife has robbed a grove of a shady bough to give ailing sheep a basket of leaves: forgive my offence. Do not fault me for sheltering my flock from the hail in a rustic shrine, nor harm me for disturbing the pools. Pardon, Nymphae, trampling hooves for muddying your stream. Keep from our sight the Dryades and Diana’s bath and Faunus lying in the fields at noon.” - Ovid, Fasti 4.751

This from the Roman poet Ovid who seems to feel the need to avert his eyes from things humans should not see. I’m reminded of the comparatively later poem from the 16th century dramatist John Day:

Graunt that no hobgoblin fright me, No hungrie devils rise up and bite me; No Urchins, Elves, or drunkardes Ghoasts Shove me against Walles or postes. O graunt I may no black thing touch. Though many men love to meet such.
