I’m going to rank my top and bottom 3 of the promo BASED ON AESTHETICS and promo look. The Meet the Queens was good but I’m waiting for the actual season itself before I pick favorites. ‼️THESE ARE NOT MY OPINIONS OF THESE QUEENS AS A WHOLE‼️

I already have an entire long post about my qualms with Tayris’ outfit. What I will say about her now is I learned that her garment was designed by Dakota Schiffer. Dakota was my favorite queen from season 4 so I am very happy to see her designing looks for Ru girls. And Tayris is wearing it to the best of her ability so I commend her for that.
Chai T Grande, I will not dock points for wearing pink just because everyone else is wearing it. I will however dock points for wearing the same shade of pink in every aspect of this look. The bodice looks so unbearable to wear, I can see it just slipping off her body at any minute. I’m fine with queens showing the boy chest but not when it makes the whole body piece look loose and floppy. The way the bodice is cut at the bottom is no help either. Now, the wig. The wig. Chai, I tried to like it, I really did. I just cannot get behind the pompadour into a singular bang. I don’t understand what’s happening on the sides, and the whole thing shapes her head into a square.
Finally, Elle Vosque. A lot of the girls were draping this promo and I think Elle just got carried away. The one central drape abruptly ending along the hem of the bodysuit throws me off so much. The bodysuit itself confuses me because it feels like we’re going for a nude illusion except that simply doesn’t happen. Even if it’s not meant to be a nude illusion, why? Why the rhinestones? Why throw off the color scheme of the whole look? Why make it into gloves? Why is the bottom hem aggressively lighter than the rest of the bodysuit? The placement of the handheld flowing drapes are also odd, just wish the two were symmetrical. Now diva, why does your blush blend into your wig? Why pick that wig if it’s going to make your head look so busy in comparison to the rest of the look? In conclusion, the whole look is a long list of Whys.

Bones probably has my favorite name of the season so brownie points for that. As for her look, I really love the dark fantasy moment she gave us. The spine detail on the bodice is such good branding and the whole outfit feels so unique to Bones while still fitting the theme. The cape is giving a lot of drama but i just wonder if it could’ve been a train instead of adding that extra bulk to her shoulders.
Nyongbella has such a good concept of color scheme and complementary colors. Her body is phenomenal and she knows how to showcase it especially in this look. The jewelry is so well utilized and the silver accents are just so gorgeous. And my god, THE WIG. Absolutely beautiful especially with the pops of purple from the clips. It’s so whimsical, it’s elegant, it’s everything I want from a fairy theme.
Sally TM has my favorite promo look of the season. Her aesthetic comes through so clearly with the dripping effect of the fabric. The colors really complement each other although I wish she’d picked a different heel. Her makeup is really gorgeous while staying relatively simple. The look just has a lot of personality while being really well made and it does a great job highlighting Sally’s features. The wig is whimsical without being too complicated and those rings make for a really nice touch.
