Rip Hunter... Time Master 2 was published with a cover date of June 1961. In the issue, he and the Time Masters traveled to Greece in 500 BC and fought alien beasts. The issue introduced Demades (the DC version), Jim Bradley, and Nytok, created by Jack Miller and Ross Andru.
