Gideon: You think that little stunt of yours will stop me?

Nyx: What I think doesn’t matter. You wouldn’t kill my father so you won’t kill me.

Gideon: I don’t need you concious; just breathing. You can submit quietly or I can have you tortured in ways that will have you begging for death.

Lachlan took a deep breath before speaking up, taking a step towards their father.

Lachlan: I won’t let you touch him.

Amery shared a look with Lachlan and slowly crept forward to pick up the discarded knife.

Nyx: (Sharp Gasp) What...what are you doing here? Rain said you were buried somewhere out in the forests and he wouldn't tell me where.

Lucian: Is that any way to greet your father?  I think a better question is what you're doing here. Is Prince Lachlan around?

Nyx: Why are you asking me?

Lucian: You would know better than anyone, wouldn't you? I have his brother and I'd like to find him for the set.

Nyx: ...What have you done with Amery?

Once Nyx was sure that Lucian was gone he quietly hurried back to Lachlan; making sure he wasn't being followed. Slipping back into the room he sighed softly.

Nyx: I found some leftover supplies but...also something you’re not gonna like. Two things really.

Lachlan: What’s wrong?

Nyx: My father is stalking through the halls looking for you

Lachlan:(slowly) ...Your father is dead. I saw him.

Nyx: I saw too. But I also just had a nice chat with him about how much he wants you and your brother dead. So don’t look at me like i’m crazy.

Lachlan: What’s going on? What has he done to Amery?

Nyx: Knocked him out he claims. But I don’t think we have enough time to get into it right now. We need to hurry before he finds us.

Lachlan: You can explain while fixing me up; this is insane. Even if he is back from the dead i’ve never heard of them retaining will and personality. They’re just mindless puppets.

Nyx sighed again and nodded before doing his best to explain what Rain had told him.

Lucian: For now? Just knocked him out. He wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings.

Nyx: For now?

Lucian: Once I find Prince Lachlan then I will kill them both. Maybe i’ll draw it out until Gideon comes running.

Nyx: You’d torture them...

Lucian: After everything they’ve done it’s only a fraction of what they deserve

Nyx: I won’t go along with this! This is insanity!

Lucian: I'll let you think about it. If you stay with him and take their side? I’ll kill you myself.
